Edoardo Bussi Launches Production and Sales Company Twenty-Nine Palms Entertainment (EXCLUSIVE)

Previously holding executive positions at Amazon MGM Studios and GFM Films, Edoardo Bussi has established a new global film production and distribution company called Twenty-Nine Palms Entertainment. This venture is set to make its debut at the Cannes Film Market next month with an initial lineup of movies.

A company headquartered in London was established by Bussi, who boasts a vast array of expertise in global distribution, production, and sales. His professional journey commenced at GFM Films where he ascended to the position of executive vice president within six years. After that, he moved on to Evolution Pictures in 2015, handling film finance and business development. In 2018, Bussi joined MGM as vice president of international sales, playing a significant role in devising release strategies for major blockbusters like “House of Gucci,” “No Time to Die,” and “Licorice Pizza.” He also worked on internal projects and acquisitions alongside Simon West, Terry Jones, Christopher Jenkins, Lars Klevberg, Oz Perkins, and Billy Porter.

Twenty-Nine Palms Entertainment is a pioneering production company that aims to foster movie-making using a clear, commercially-oriented methodology. By combining production, funding, and distribution plans from the very beginning of a project’s development, they strive to deliver high-quality films. These movies showcase both artistic flair and marketable allure, ensuring each film reaches its maximum potential across different platforms such as cinemas, streaming services, and ancillary markets.

The business plans to showcase both self-produced content and collaborative projects, some of which are in association with international production companies such as Kirby Wilkinson Picture Company from London (“The Pugilist”), Studio X01 based in Italy (“Escort Club”), Twenty2 Films out of Los Angeles (“North Star”), and Global Film Partners hailing from Amsterdam (“Boychoir,” “Kidnapping Mr. Heineken,” “The Windmill”).

Bussi stated: “The world of independent films is changing, and what filmmakers need is a collaborator who appreciates both artistic vision and practical business aspects. Our aim is to make storytelling the core of our company, while also providing a pathway for global promotion from the start, so that a filmmaker’s project thrives in all aspects – creatively, financially, and commercially – throughout its entire journey.

Bussi is scheduled to confer with business associates in Cannes, a venue for revealing specifics about the debut projects of Twenty-Nine Palms Entertainment.
