‘Love on the Spectrum’ Stars Slam RFK Jr.’s Autism Comments as ‘Extremely Ignorant’ and ‘Downright Offensive’: ‘We Don’t Need to Be Fixed’

The main characters from “Love on the Spectrum,” the popular Netflix show, have expressed their disapproval regarding the remarks made by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. concerning autism.

During an interview with NewsNation, Dani Bowman, who is a star of “Love on the Spectrum,” firmly disputed Kennedy’s claims that autistic individuals will never be able to do things like pay taxes, maintain employment, play baseball, write poetry, or go on a date.

Bowman stated that individuals with autism share the same aspirations and experiences in dating, just like everyone else – even the embarrassing moments. She added, “Striving to find a cure for autism suggests that our existence is flawed, which is incorrect. Instead, we require support rather than being ‘fixed.’ The solution doesn’t lie in eliminating autism; instead, it involves creating a more accommodating world for everyone.

James B. Jones expressed his opinions about Kennedy via TikTok. As a well-known personality on Netflix, he stated that the comments were incredibly uninformed, and to put it bluntly, they were downright disrespectful.

Jones expressed his disappointment and sadness, saying he’s old enough to recall a time when society had limited knowledge about autism and other forms of neurodiversity. It’s upsetting for him to listen to such insensitive remarks.

Jones mentioned that participating in specialized educational programs was “extremely beneficial” during his younger years. He credits these programs for helping him “grow and evolve into the individual I am today.
