D4 Enterprise is now accepting pre-orders for a collection of physical games provisionally named “Ys Collection.” Expected to hit shelves in 2026 at 28,160 yen, this compilation will offer four beloved titles from the series, all compatible with Windows 10 and 11 computers.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that this gathering includes four epic adventures: “Ys”, “Ys II”, “Ys III”, and “Ys V: Lost Kefin, Kingdom of Sand”. These titles will be beautifully compiled on a single CD, complete with a vintage-style package and manual, reminiscent of the iconic releases from the 1980s and 1990s.
The first three games are also implied to be available in multiple versions, as listed below:
- Ys – PC-8801SR / PC-9801 / X1 / FM-7 / FM77AV / MSX2
- Ys II – PC-8801SR / PC-9801 / X1 / FM77AV / MSX2
- Ys III – PC-8801SR / PC-9801 / X68000 / MSX2
- Ys V – Super Famicom (SNES)

D4 Enterprise is recognized for converting classic PC games, such as RPGs developed by Nihon Falcom, to contemporary Windows computers and Nintendo Switch using the EGG Console emulation platform. Specifically, they have released adaptations of Ys I: Lost Kefin – The Oath of Felghana (originally Ancient Ys Vanished), Ys II: Celceta (originally Ancient Ys Vanished – The Final Chapter), and Ys III: Wanderers from Ys for the Nintendo Switch.
In addition to expanding their offerings for PCs, the company made a significant move in 2007 by launching the comprehensive digital edition, Ys Complete Works. This collection, available only digitally, encompasses all the initial five installments of the series, with Ys IV surprisingly missing from this physical compilation.
