Andy Serkis ‘Animal Farm’ Animated Film Casts Seth Rogen, Glenn Close, Woody Harrelson and More in Voice Roles (EXCLUSIVE)

Andy Serkis has gathered a distinguished group of voice actors for his animated version of George Orwell’s renowned novel “Animal Farm.” This ensemble includes Seth Rogen, Gaten Matarazzo, Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close, Laverne Cox, Kieran Culkin, Woody Harrelson, Jim Parsons, Kathleen Turner, and Iman Vellani. Besides directing “Animal Farm,” Serkis will also contribute his voice to the project.

Screenwriter Nick Stoller, known for penning “The Muppets” and “Storks,” transforms the tale of a band of animals who break free from their human keepers and seize control of the farm. Having successfully overthrown their owners, they now face a new set of trials under the leadership of a sly pig named Napoleon (played by Rogen). This turn of events compels them to muster the strength to challenge Napoleon’s rule.

Aniventure and Imaginarium are teaming up with Adam Nagle, David Rosenbaum, Jonathan Cavendish, and Andy Serkis on this project. Woody Harrelson is also joining as an executive producer, along with Matt Reeves who collaborated with Serkis on “The Batman” and “Planet of the Apes.” The animation for this production is being handled by Cinesite, with Connie Nartonis Thompson (“Frankenweenie”) overseeing it.

Right now, Rogen is playing a leading role in the Apple TV+ show called “The Studio.” Some other projects he’s been involved with are “Superbad,” “Pineapple Express,” and animated movies like “Kung Fu Panda,” “Sausage Party,” and the 2019 adaptation of “The Lion King.

Matarazzo is primarily recognized for his contributions to Netflix’s “Stranger Things.” Additionally, he has provided voiceovers for “My Father’s Dragon” and “The Angry Birds Movie 2,” and has performed on Broadway in both “Dear Evan Hansen” and “Les Misérables.

Buscemi is well-recognized for his roles in “Fargo,” “Reservoir Dogs,” “The Big Lebowski,” and “Boardwalk Empire.” Additionally, he has lent his voice to characters in the movies “Monsters, Inc.,” “Charlotte’s Web,” and the series of films known as “The Boss Baby.

Closely, she’s amassed eight Oscar nominations for performances in films like “Fatal Attraction”, “Dangerous Liaisons”, and “The Big Chill”. Additionally, she boasts three Tony Awards for her exceptional work on the stage.

Cox gained fame by playing a role in “Orange is the New Black” on Netflix, and has continued to appear in notable productions such as “Promising Young Woman,” “The Devil Wears Prada spin-off ‘Inventing Anna,'” and “Disclosure.

More recently, Macaulay Culkin clinched the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor due to his performance in Jesse Eisenberg’s film “A Real Pain”. Additionally, he was honored with an Emmy for his contributions to “Succession”.

Harrelson is a three-time Academy Award nominee, best known for his roles in TV series like “True Detective” and films such as “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing,” Missouri, and “The People vs. Larry Flynt.

Parsons, who’s famously recognized for his work on “The Big Bang Theory,” winning the Emmy Award four times, has also showcased his talent as both an actor and producer in projects like “Spoiler Alert” and “A Kid Like Jake.

As a cinephile, I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing the exceptional talent that is Turner in action. An actress who has graced us with memorable performances in films such as “Body Heat,” “Romancing the Stone,” and “Serial Mom”, she has even earned an Academy Award nomination for her work.

Vellani had a breakout role in Disney+’s “Ms. Marvel” and starred in “The Marvels.”
