‘Worth the Wait,’ Rom-Com With Lana Condor, Ross Butler and Sung Kang, Acquired by Tubi (EXCLUSIVE)

Tubi has acquired the romantic comedy “Worth the Wait.”

Under the guidance of director Tom Shu-Yu Lin, who is known for “Yen and Ai-Lee” and “The Garden of Evening Mists”, this film features the talented cast members Lana Condor (“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”), Andrew Koji (“Black Doves”), Ross Butler (“13 Reasons Why”), Sung Kang (“Fast & Furious”), Elodie Yung (“The Cleaning Lady”) and several others.

The movie tells a story about different individuals whose paths cross significantly as they experience blossoming romance, grapple with deep sorrow, and revisit past flames. Karena Lam features in her first U.S. and English-speaking role (in “July Rhapsody”), alongside Osric Chau from “Supernatural”, Ali Fumiko Whitney from “Find Me Falling”, Ricky He from “From”, Kheng Hua Tan from “Crazy Rich Asians”, and Yu-Beng Lim from “Rebel Moon”.

We are thrilled to be the platform to share Dan and Rachel’s tale with Tubi users, particularly because it mirrors our culture’s diversity and marks our inaugural inclusive AAPI original film on Tubi.

The movie was created by Dan Mark, Rachel Tan, Vincent Xie, George Lee, and Marcus Englefield. Condor, Koji, Jim Yu, HP Jin, Fumiko Whitney, Brian O’Shea, Nat McCormick, Andrew Ooi, Steven Shapiro, and Matt Drake are the executive producers. Maggie Hartmans wrote the screenplay, with a story conceived by Dan Mark, Rachel Tan, and Roberto Girault.

The deal was brokered by The Exchange, which has worldwide rights, and Sarah Corrgian of Tubi.
