Oblivion Dark Brotherhood questline guide

The ominous Dark Brotherhood, known for their clandestine killings under cover of darkness, is notorious throughout Tamriel. Unlike the Thieves Guild, who prefer to avoid taking lives, the Brotherhood embraces death as their profession. This questline will have you traversing various regions, executing contracts while climbing up the ranks within this secretive organization. This guide will offer you effective strategies for completing your assignments and teach you stealthy techniques to perform these tasks like a seasoned assassin.

Joining the Dark Brotherhood

To become part of the secretive Dark Brotherhood, it’s essential to catch their notice first. This can be achieved by carrying out a couple of seemingly ordinary murders, followed by spending a night at an Inn. As you sleep, a shadowy figure will rouse you and offer the “A Knife in the Dark” quest to fulfill. Successfully completing this task will earn your formal membership within the enigmatic Dark Brotherhood.

A Knife in the Dark

Once Lchance gives you your task, make your way to the ominous Inn, which lies to the north of Bravil. Wait for the darkness of night, then enter the inn to locate your objective.

Upon entering the inn, turn left immediately to discover a hidden trapdoor that leads down into the inn. At the end of this staircase is Rufio’s room. Eliminate him there.

After Rufio’s demise, feel free to rest (you can do it at the inn where you currently reside), and Lachance will visit you once more to prepare you for a trip to an abandoned house in Cheydinhal. Once downstairs, search for a hidden doorway behind a broken wall. Speak the password “Sanguine, my Brother” to gain entry.

As I step into the dimly lit hideaway of the enigmatic Dark Brotherhood, I find myself face-to-face with Ocheeva, her eyes shimmering with secrets yet to be unveiled. “Time to seal our pact,” she whispers, “Complete your quest and claim your place among us, an official member of this clandestine order.

A Watery Grave

Once you become part of the brotherhood, head to their headquarters and locate Vincente Valtieri, who can be found near Ocheeva’s quarters. In your conversation with him, take on his assignment to eliminate Captain Gaston Tussaud, found in the Waterfront District of the Imperial City.

Gaston’s ship is moored in the northern region of the district. You can access his living quarters through the upper deck’s door, or if you’re skilled and equipped with lockpicks, there’s another entrance into his cabin that’s hidden at the rear of the vessel, behind a particularly challenging lock.

Taking the secluded path leads to a one-on-one duel with Gaston. Despite his Steel Cutter’s potency, you’ll have a good chance against him. After defeating him, search his remains and make your way back to Vincente.

As a token of his gratitude for your hardships, he’ll bestow upon you a mystical black bracelet. This enchanted accessory will boost your Light Armor and Defense abilities by 5 points, and also provide a 5% resistance against magical attacks.

Accidents Happen

Bonus Requirement: Loosen the fastenings to drop the decoration on your target to kill him.

In your upcoming task, Valtieri assigns you a mission in Bruma, specifically targeting a man named Baelin. The objective is to arrange his demise, making it appear as an accident if you’d like the reward bonus. Proceed to Bruma for this assignment.

In Bruma, you can use your quest marker as a guide to Baelin’s residence. There, you’ll discover several approaches to gain entry – attempt to slip in through the main door, or circle around his house to find a hidden entrance leading to his basement. Once inside, make your way stealthily up to the attic area on the second level via a concealed opening.

After reaching the upper level, turn right into a compact room. To your right, adjacent to a desk, there’s an access point leading to a narrow space. Enter this space, close the entrance behind you, and then wait patiently. As per the agreement, you should wait sometime within the hours between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

At the edge of space, you’ll discover a wooden cross. Interact with it and choose the action to unfasten it. Once done, slip away from the house, making sure to elude Baelin’s servant on your way. Then, return to Valtieri for your reward: the enchanted dagger Sufferthron, 100 gold pieces, and a promotion to Slayer rank.

Scheduled for Execution

Bonus Requirement: Don’t kill any of the prison guards.

In this instance, your mission involves a man who is now imprisoned within the Imperial Prison. Your objective is to infiltrate and eliminate him stealthily. Fortunately, you possess a key to the city’s sewers which will serve as your entry point. When you’re prepared, make your way towards the Imperial City.

Located just beyond the city’s outskirts towards the northeast, not far from the capital’s walls following a stream, you can find the entrance. With the key provided by Valtieri, make your way inside.

Venturing through the grimy underbelly of these sewers isn’t too complex, but beware! The crustacean and rodent inhabitants aren’t exactly welcoming. With persistence, you’ll eventually stumble upon a rickety ladder leading to the Sanctum. Its lock is standard fare; give it a good try and ascend.

Slip quietly past the guards in the Sanctum, ensuring you steer clear of them unless you’re willing to forgo the reward, in which case, feel free to engage them, and proceed towards the prison door.

After entering the prison, keep going until you spot a tunnel leading upward towards what seems like an old cell of yours. On the opposite side, you’ll find your objective, Valen Dreth. If he’s engaged in a discussion with a guard, be patient and wait for their interaction to conclude before the guard departs.

In this scenario, Dreth is confined within a cell secured by a sturdy gate. To access his cell, you can locate the key to it on a nearby table at the end of the corridor where his cell is situated. Additionally, you’ll find an Imperial Prison key there too, so don’t forget to grab that while you’re at it. If you possess an invisibility spell or the Shadow’s Moonlight ability, you could deliver a critical blow and neutralize him swiftly.

After achieving your goal and eliminating the target, make your way back to Valtieri and share your victory. If you’ve successfully accomplished the additional task, you’ll be given the Scales of Relentless Justice as a reward. This item enhances certain stats when it’s in your possession, but it comes at the cost of decreasing your Personality score.

The Assassinated Man

Bonus Requirement: N/A

Talk to Valtieri when you’re ready for your next guild assignment, Valtieri. This task is unusual; instead of taking a life, you’ll be saving one. In this case, you’ll need to make it appear as if someone has died, thus protecting them from those who wish to kill him. You’ll be provided with a poison-coated knife and an antidote to revive the target. Once ready, proceed to Chorrol.

At nightfall, one might need to wait and carefully pick the sturdy lock on Francois’ substantial residence, as it’s the sole means of entry – not ideal, but it seems we have no other choice.

When you step into the house, François will welcome you, let you know that Hides-behind-His-Emotions is coming soon, and outline their plan. As soon as Hides-behind-His-Emotions enters the house and starts speaking with François, use the knife Valtieri provided to wound him instead of killing him, then quickly leave. Exit through the house’s nearby gate, and you should be safe. Remember, do not kill Hides-behind-His-Emotions.

In the upcoming phase of our strategy, we’ll be focusing on bringing him back to life. After a span of 24 hours has passed, make your way to the Chapel of Stendarr, proceed downstairs to the undercroft.

Upon entering the cellar, look to the right along the path where you’ll encounter Francois. Engage with him to employ the potion from your miscellaneous items (you won’t find it in the regular potions section).

To prevent some dwellers of the undercroft from becoming angry, shield Francois from the undead hordes, ensure his safety by avoiding harming him during combat against the enemies, and subsequently depart from the undercroft.

Stepping outdoors, I guide my companion towards Chorrol, making our way to the Gray Mare inn. Upon reaching, we enter, and Francois expresses his gratitude. Now, it’s time for us to return and give an update to the Brotherhood.

Finishing the agreement grants you the title of ‘Eliminator’ in the Dark Brotherhood, the amulet ‘Cruelty’s Heart’, which boosts your Willpower and Strength by three points, and a key to swiftly enter the headquarters, which can be accessed via the well behind the Abandoned House.

The Lonely Wanderer

Bonus Requirement: Kill the target indoors and with no witnesses.

During your upcoming discussions with Veltieri regarding future projects, he’ll inform you that he will no longer be assigning tasks to you. Instead, you should approach Ocheeva at the headquarters for new contracts. As a token of appreciation for your past work, Veltieri is offering you an opportunity – if you wish – to become a vampire. So, remember this offer if you ever express interest in it!

In your mission, Ocheeva asks you to locate and eliminate a high elf named Faelian who resides within the Imperial City. The challenge lies in finding him, as he is known for his elusiveness. To maximize your reward, the assassination must occur indoors, with no witnesses present. Armed with this intel, proceed towards the Imperial City.

When conversing with an elf residing in the city who holds you in moderate regard (making their feelings towards you around 50 to 60), they may provide some details. Generally, Faelian can be found in a few distinct locations, depending on the hour. However, if you’re aiming for the bonus, the sole location where you can confront him is within Lorkmir’s House.

Tiber Septim Hotel (Talos Plaza District): 8pm – 1am

Lorkmir’s House (Elvan Gardens District): 11am – 5pm (Hard lock on the door)

Abandoned Shack (Waterfront District): 2am – 8am

After Faelin’s demise, make your way back to Ocheeva to claim your reward – Gold, plus if you met the additional task, the enchanted bow known as ‘Shadowhunt’.

Bad Medicine

Additional Task: Maintain stealth and secretly replace your target’s medication with the deadly poison provided by Ocheeva.

In your next assignment, you’ll be tracking down a mercenary captain named Rodrick, who’s hiding out in Fort Sutch to the west. Your objective is to sneak into the fort, replace his medicine with poison provided by Ocheeva without getting caught. If you’re discovered, you’ll lose your bonus and will have no choice but to eliminate him through conventional means.

You can reach Fort Sutch by traveling westward and then heading north after you’ve arrived at Anvil. So, your journey could start with a fast travel to Anvil, followed by departure in the specified direction.

Upon reaching the fort, at its lowest level, you’ll discover a compact, walled corridor that ends with a door within.

Step indoors, locate the usual gate on your right and proceed down the path leading to the fort’s rear area. As you go, open several gates en route. For improved visibility of guards, consider wearing the Gray Fox’s Hood or casting a detect life spell to know their positions and move stealthily.

Behind you, there’s a medicine cabinet labeled “Rodrick’s Medicine”. Grab it and swap it with ‘Rodrick’s Substitute’ from your miscellaneous items.

Slip back through the same exit, making sure to steer clear of the fort’s mercenaries, using the dimly lit corners as cover. It’s fortunate that there aren’t too many of them around, and the Life Detection tool should help you navigate undetected.

Upon exiting, quickly teleport yourself back to Ocheeva for your reward – gold, and should you have met the additional tasks, you’ll also receive the enchanted garment known as the Deceiver’s Finery.

Whodunit

Bonus Requirement: Kill each of the five guests individually without being detected.

In your upcoming assignment with Ocheeva, you will be required to eliminate not just one person, but five. Each of these individuals will be confined within separate houses, and it will fall upon you to eliminate each one. If you choose to accept the bonus, your mission will require stealth as you must kill each target without any of the others being aware of your presence. This can either be completed swiftly with added effort or may take more time. Once prepared, make your way to Skingrad.

Upon reaching Skingrad, make your way to Summitmist Manor, where Fafnir warmly welcomes you and grants you entry.

This contract isn’t particularly challenging; all you need is a bit of patience. Keep an eye on individuals until you find them alone, then take action. Alternatively, you could wait until they fall asleep and proceed at that time. Regardless of your approach, after everyone has been dealt with, make sure to search their bodies and the rooms for valuable items. Once finished, head back to Ocheeva.

In return for your efforts, Ocheeva will grant you gold, and if you fulfill the condition, she will also bestow upon you the ongoing benefit of the Night Mother’s Favor, which positively impacts multiple of your attributes!

Permanent Retirement

Additional Task: Following the elimination of the target, retrieve his ring finger and place it on the desk of one of his underlings.

In the upcoming task, you’ll be handling Adamus Phillida, a persistent nuisance to the Brotherhood for quite some time now, who currently resides in Leyawin enjoying his retirement. To make things more challenging, as an added incentive for this mission, you’ll need to retrieve a specific item from the target – his ring finger. Once retrieved, deliver it to the Imperial Garrison to convey a clear message. When you’re prepared, proceed to Leyawin.

In the town of Leyawin, locate a secluded pond to the west of the City Barracks, beyond the stone wall. Every afternoon around 3 PM, you’ll find Adamus there for a swim. This will be your prime opportunity to use the instant-kill arrow that Ocheeva provided for this task, but ensure Adamus is out of his armor for it to take effect. Keep yourself hidden and nearby, and patiently wait for Adamus to go swimming.

Make sure to save your progress first before proceeding with the arrow action, as it’s a one-time opportunity. After Adamus has been eliminated, wait for his guard to move away from the body – you could spend some time exploring Leyawin, shopping for supplies, or sightseeing. Once the area seems safe again, feel free to collect items such as his sword, shield, and numerous keys from his body.

Currently, you have two options available: Return directly to Ocheeva, or alternatively, make your way towards the Prison District of the Imperial City to hand over the package.

On your map, locate the structure marked by a green cursor. Upon entering, you’ll spot a desk. Interact with it, insert your finger into the desk, and your task will be accomplished. Then make your way back to Ocheeva.

This time around, your reward isn’t as thrilling, just an extra 500 gold pieces, but remember, every small amount adds up. Another task for the Dark Brotherhood has been completed.

Of Secret and Shadow

Bonus Requirement: N/A

In your upcoming task, things will be distinct from what you’ve faced before. Upon conversing with Ocheeva, a letter arrives from Lucien, the man who initially drew you into the Dark Brotherhood. Upon perusal of this letter in your possession, Lucien invites you to meet him at Fort Farragut; prepare to depart whenever you’re ready.

From Chydinnhal, Fort Farragut lies only a short trip northeast, ensuring a swift arrival. If you’re up for tackling some formidable sentinels and maneuvering past traps, venture through the grand doors at the fort’s base. Alternatively, if you wish to bypass these challenges altogether, make your way outside, around the back of the fortress. There, you’ll find a substantial hollow tree with a covert entrance. This secret passageway will lead you directly to Lucien’s chamber without any detours.

In conversation with Lucien, it’s revealed that one or more members of the Brotherhood at Cheydinhal Sanctuary are traitors. Your mission is to eliminate these individuals: Ocheeva, Valtieri, Antoinetta Marie, Gogron gro-Bolmog, Telaendril, M’raaj-Dar, and Teinaava. Lucien provides you with a poisoned apple and a summoning scroll for this task. Keep in mind that there may be additional poisoned apples hidden in the room – specifically, in a difficult-to-open barrel nearby, where you can find ten more.

When you’re ready, head back to the Sanctuary and get to it…

The Purification

Bonus Requirement: N/A

Back in the Sanctuary, you can approach your killings however you see fit, but here are some tips:

  • Don’t bother with the apples, it’s more of a hassle than it is worth going around collecting and stealing every bit of food in the Sanctuary.
  • The Spirit of Rufio summon, it is best to use against Gogron due to his heavy armor since the spirit’s attacks will hit better against it.
  • Try to take out M’raaj-Dar after he has been practicing in the training room so that he will be low on magicka.
  • Telandril is mostly found outside of the Sanctuary. Your best time is to find her on Tuesday’s out near the mage guild’s well. Hitting her while stealthed will cause her to don her Dark Brotherhood garb and cause the cities guards to attack her so all you have to do is wait for them to do your work for you.
  • Don’t try to take on all the assassins at once, wait until they are sleeping or alone.

Each member should leave a key to their personal chests in the shared living area. Make sure to search both their bodies and the chests for any valuables!

After successfully eliminating all your targets, make your way back to Lucien, who has promised you a promotion to his personal assassin and a steed named Shadowmare as a reward. Additionally, he’ll gather the remaining contracts for you from various secret locations, starting with one on Hero Hill. Well done, Silencer!

Affairs of a Wizard

On your inaugural covert operation, hidden within a stone cavity on Hero’s Peak, there’s intel about your objective – a sorceress known as Celedaen, who resides deep inside Leafrot Cavern, situated significantly far to the south of your current location.

For reaching Leafrot Cave, it’s best to teleport to Leyawin first, then exit through the Northeastern gate. Follow the road with Shadowmare, and after that, veer east until you spot the cave. The most challenging aspect of this quest is undoubtedly the journey itself.

Upon entering the cave, make your way towards the back, passing through a standard locked door and then into the subsequent chamber of the cave where Celedaen resides. Descend through a hole in the floor and approach the nearby door; there you will find him. To eliminate him, simply move stealthily and seize his hourglass.

After dealing with the necromancer, you can find your reward of 500 gold pieces and your next job tucked away in a bag under the grand oak tree in Chorrol.

Next of Kin

Your upcoming mission requires you to eliminate each individual belonging to the Draconis clan, which consists of Perennia, Matthias, Andreas, Sibylla, and Caelia.

Perennia

She resides at a quaint farm named Applewatch, situated to the west of Burma. There’s no cause for alarm regarding her; simply bide your time and approach when she’s asleep. Looting her person will yield valuable intel about the whereabouts of others, proving beneficial in your endeavors.

Matthias

In the Talos Plaza District of the Imperial City, Matthias resides. Gain entry by picking the lock on his front door quietly and slip inside unnoticed. His bedroom is upstairs; be cautious not to encounter his attendant as you sneak into it, with the intention of eliminating him.

Andreas

Andreas manages the Drunken Dragon Inn, situated northeast of Leyawin, slightly east of the primary road. Often, an Imperial guard can be found loitering within the establishment, so you might need to think outside the box – or even deal with him in an unexpected way. By around 2am, Andreas typically retires to sleep, nestled behind the bar counter.

Sibylla

To the Southwest of Cheydinhal you will find Muck Valley Cavern with Caelia inside.

In this modest-sized cavern, just rats, wolves, and a pair of bears serve as guards for Caelia. You’ll typically find Caelia near her compact campsite, located deep within the farthest reaches of the cave.

Caelia

The ideal spot and hour to attend to Leyawin’s protector would be her personal chamber at the Three Sister’s Inn, specifically after 8 in the morning. Her room can be found on the second story of the inn, secured with a sturdy lock, and it is the one situated nearest to the staircase leading upwards.

Once the last family member has met their unfortunate end, make your way to Castle Skingrad. In the castle’s courtyard, locate the well, where you’ll discover a 500 gold piece reward awaiting you and a clue for your upcoming task.

Broken Vows

The third Dead Drop message directs you towards your next objective: a Khajiit named J’Ghasta, who resides in Bruma. It is recommended to make your way to Bruma and locate his residence. It seems that publicly calling off a wedding and humiliating an ex-fiance may have made some enemies along the way, but there’s nothing to be done about it now. Off you go!

Upon entering secretly, make your way straight to the basement. There, you’ll discover a concealed door close to the staircase. Go through it.

Keep moving and maintain distance from your opponent since he lacks armor but packs a powerful punch. This will help you avoid getting hit.

After slaying J’Ghasta, make your way towards the ancient bridge that lies south of the Imperial City’s Waterfront district. It would be more convenient to swim there directly from the Waterfront. Underneath this bridge is where you’ll discover a decaying crate holding your reward and instructions for your next task.

Final Justice

Here’s your mission: You’ll be tracking down an Argonian named Shaleeze, who resides within a cave called the Flooded Mine, situated just north of Bravil. Once prepared, make your way to Bravil, then proceed northward towards the cave.

As suggested by its title, the majority of this mine is flooded with water. Once you venture inside, turn right and navigate along the submerged path heading eastwards. This route will lead you towards Shaleeze’s camp, where you may find her sleeping (provided you choose to confront her late at night, beyond the hours of midnight).

As a gamer, I find myself squaring off against Shaleeze, who unleashes some wicked magical blades. To stay alive, I’d advise keeping a safe distance. Or, if I spot an outcropping smack-dab in the center of her camp, I can lure her there and rain arrows down on her instead.

After her demise and the taking of her possessions, make your way to Fort Redman, situated slightly to the west of the Drunken Dragon Inn where you earlier eliminated Andreas Draconis, to collect your reward and your subsequent secret mission delivery.

A Matter of Honor

Your upcoming objective is a nomadic trader named Uvani. Finding him might be challenging, and there’s a possibility of attracting unwanted attention. The optimal location for an encounter is his residence in Leyawin, which he visits every Sunday. Interestingly, Uvani has an aversion to honey, so offering him mead could potentially lure him into a predicament – similar to the tricky poison apples during the purification quest. However, beware that the situation becomes complicated because you’ll also need to eliminate other food sources in the vicinity to make the mead more appealing to him.

His house’s main entrance, as well as several internal doors, are secured with sturdy locks. Therefore, remember to carry some tools for unlocking (such as picks) with you.

In the battle against Uvani, it’s not just his potent Destruction spells you should watch out for. His enchanted Dagger of Shattered Pieces can swiftly shatter any melee weapon or defensive shield you try to ward off with. Therefore, ensure this fight doesn’t prolong, as running out of weapons could leave you powerless to defeat him!

Once you’ve handled Uvani, make your way to the Imperial Market District within the Imperial City. Look for a conspicuous hole between Rindir’s Staff Shop and Edgar’s Discount Speel Store. Your reward and the location of your next secret drop will be there.

The Coldest Sleep

Your upcoming objective involves tracking down Havilstein Hoar-Blood, a Nord Barbarian, who can be found camping on Gnoll Mountain, east of Bruma. This task appears to be relatively straightforward. Once you’re prepared and equipped for close combat, consider setting off towards Bruma.

A strategic approach to defeating Havilstein and his wolf would be to set up your position on a rocky outcropping above and to the east of their camp. This vantage point gives you an advantage because they won’t be able to reach you, leaving them only to gaze at you as you shoot arrows at them from this elevated location.

Make sure to search the body thoroughly and retrieve Havilstein’s enchanted axe of spirit captures, as well as his elven-made axe for added insurance!

Or simply:

Search the body completely for Havilstein’s soul trap axe and his backup elven axe!

To change direction in your journey, quickly teleport to Muck Valley Cavern, then move south towards the Nornal ruins. Enter the ruins, descend some stairs and follow the quest symbol. Swim underwater when you reach it to open a moderate gate, behind which lies your reward and the next stage of your mission.

A Kiss Before Dying

As a follower of your quest, I, a devoted fan, have been tasked with finding Ungolim, a cunning wood elf residing in Bravil. He’s aware that you’re on your way, so it’s best to be prepared. Here are my recommendations:

1. Arm yourself with an invisibility scroll or don your most stealthy attire for optimal sneaking.
2. Make your way to the city of Bravil without delay.

Good luck in your pursuit!

Every day, from 6 pm to 1 am, find yourself settling near the statue in town’s center, perhaps on some convenient steps. That’s where Ungolim, a skilled archer like yourself, often stops by. If you engage him in conversation, you might have an exchange, but the surrounding structures offer useful protection. Alternatively, you could approach him directly. Once you handle your business with Ungolim, Lucien will appear, bringing along some unexpected tidings.

As you prepare to visit your next secret cache, don’t forget to retrieve Ungolim’s Bow of Cold from his corpse first. Then, make your way to Anvil and locate the hidden spot – it’s a barrel positioned behind the statue at the dead drop location.

Following a Lead

Once prepared, make your way towards Anvil. Close to the main entrance, you’ll spot a prominent statue. Behind this statue, there should be a barrel. Find a concealed perch not far from it and keep a watchful eye while waiting.

Soon enough, I’ll be heading over to the barrel. Once I get there, I’ll dash straight up to him for a chat. He’ll fill me in on someone who chatted with him near the lighthouse, instructing him to replace the secret stashes that weren’t working anymore.

Journey to the Anvil Lighthouse. Visit the keeper’s residence and ascend to the top where you will encounter him. Ask for the key to the cellar, which he will provide. With that key in hand, venture outdoors and circle around the back of the lighthouse premises. There you’ll find a locked door leading to the Cellar beneath the Lighthouse. Enter inside.

Down in the cellar, you’ll discover a pile of deceased individuals and, further back, an ordinary, locked door. Close to a chair inside, you’ll stumble upon the Traitor’s Journal. Give it a read and retrieve the head that lies on the altar situated before it.

This version maintains the original information but uses more natural language and a conversational tone to make it easier for readers to understand.

Using the details given, make your way to Applewatch. Upon entering, you’ll encounter individuals from the mysterious group known as the Black Hand. Inside, you’ll find a grim sight: Lucien, hanging in the shadows. You are instructed to return between midnight and 3 am for another meeting with Arquen.

Honor Thy Mother

Meet up with Arquen from 12 midnight to 3 am, and concur to accompany the Black Hand in waking the Night Mother, which should initiate a cutscene.

After the scene concludes, I venture into the Night Mother’s Crypt, which in turn sets off another pivotal moment where the real traitor unmasks themselves. Together with Arquen, I stand my ground and face this adversary in battle.

Once the altercation is over, have a chat with the Night Mother. Then, go ahead and search the coffins within the crypt for your needs. After you’ve finished, engage in another conversation with the Night Mother.

Bravo! You’re not part of the Dark Brotherhood as a Listener anymore, and you’ve completed the questline for this secretive group. As a token of appreciation, not only have you been promoted to the role of Listener, but the Night Mother has granted you access to the full potential of the Blade of Woe that Lucien bestowed upon you at the outset of your adventure within the brotherhood!

Whispers of Death

This task isn’t mandatory, but every week, you can engage in conversation with the Night Mother statue in Bravil, followed by delivering the information to Arquen at the Chrydinhal Sanctuary. This activity provides a reliable income stream! Additionally, as the Listener, you have the opportunity to bring a Dark Brotherhood assassin with you on your adventures. Simply talk to an initiate within the sanctuary and accept his offer to join you.
