There are some remaining plot points that need resolution before the final episode of FBI: Most Wanted airs in May 2025. Unfortunately, this spinoff from FBI about the Fugitive Task Force was among several shows CBS decided to end in 2025, despite its good ratings. This unexpected announcement means that FBI: Most Wanted has only a handful of episodes left before it goes off the air permanently; its series finale is set for May 20, 2025.
In the sixth season of “FBI: Most Wanted,” various romantic storylines have been established, and it’s crucial for these relationships to reach a conclusion before the show wraps up. Furthermore, one character’s future remains uncertain, as she might rejoin the agency, but nothing has been definitively decided yet. To ensure a satisfying ending for the series finale, the showrunners should tie up all these lingering plot points effectively, rather than leaving viewers with too many unresolved questions.
5. Resolve Remy and Abby’s On-Again-Off-Again Relationship
Long Distance Doesn’t Always Work For Them, So They Need To Make a Decision
In the sixth season of FBI: Most Wanted, Remy (Dylan McDermott) has made multiple attempts at forming a romantic connection with Abby (Susan Mismer). Originally hailing from Missouri, Abby met Remy towards the end of the fifth season of FBI: Most Wanted. Over time, she relocated to upstate New York, which is approximately a three-hour drive away from where Remy resides. Consequently, they have been navigating a long-distance relationship that has encountered numerous obstacles along the way.
In this situation, the main conflict between Abby and Remy mirrors a problem he had with his previous partner, Judge April Brooks (Wendy Muniz): Remy prioritizes work so heavily that his significant other feels excluded. Yet, Abby persists in making their relationship work. Consequently, the production team of FBI: Most Wanted must determine whether this couple will remain together and address that question before the season finale.
4. Confirm Barnes’ Move To DC
Barnes Is Talking As If She Has The Job, But There Could Still Be A Twist
In the narrative, character Barnes (portrayed by Roxy Sternberg) is considering a job as a supervisor in D.C., hoping to be near her ex-wife and their children, which seems like a fitting conclusion to her storyline. However, it’s essential to note that this development hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. Barnes has discussed obtaining a recommendation from Isobel (Alana de la Garza) and Hana (Keisha Castle-Hughes), but she has yet to inform Remy about her potential departure. Her hesitation in giving notice hints at a possible unexpected turn in the storyline.
If Remy steps down from the Fugitive Task Force at the end of the procedural, Barnes might consider assuming the leadership role instead. To make this transition more convincing within the storyline, there should be a compelling reason behind it. One possibility could be that Remy moves to a field office nearer to Abby’s residence as part of his retirement, which would create an opportunity for Barnes if her job in DC doesn’t work out.
3. Establish Nina’s Fate (And Whether She Will Appear In FBI)
It’s Unclear What Will Happen To Her And Her Relationship With Scola
Previously employed at the New York Field Office, Nina later moved to the Fugitive Task Force. Given this background, it might seem appropriate for her to go back to her origins. However, such a move needs to be handled delicately. Since FBI’s Stuart Scola, played by John Boyd, and Nina are a couple living together and parenting their son, there could potentially be practical complications if she were to return to the same office where Scola is assigned.
Regardless if Nina intends to rejoin the New York Field Office, it’s crucial to find out her next professional step. Given that she shares a continuing relationship with a character who is likely to appear in season 8 of FBI, it would be more satisfying for viewers if we learn about her fate instead of her character vanishing without any closure.
2. Offer a Final Update On Jess’ Family
Tali Could Make A Cameo Appearance
In the third season of FBI: Most Wanted, the character Jess LaCroix (played by Julian MacMahon) tragically lost his life on duty. Even three years later, he remains a beloved figure among fans. To honor him and his loved ones, it seems appropriate for the series to commemorate Jess in the final episode of FBI: Most Wanted. Since bringing MacMahon back for the finale wouldn’t make sense, a brief appearance by Tali, Jess’ daughter, could be an effective tribute instead.
The main storylines from the initial three seasons often centered around Tali’s rebellious phases during her pre-teen and teenage years. Yet, it’s plausible that she grew up off-screen, making her unexpected return in the finale all the more meaningful. If Tali were to make a brief appearance, she might reveal that she is pursuing her father’s profession by aiming to join the FBI when eligible. This development in the final episode would not only provide resolution regarding Jess’s demise but also offer insights into what Tali has been up to since then. Such an ending would be a fitting tribute to the LaCroix family’s impact during the first part of the show’s procedural journey.
1. Wrap Up Hana and Ethan’s Story
Ethan’s Addiction Has Been An Ongoing Issue
Their romantic bond shattered severely: Ethan’s addiction to strong painkillers led to an unmanageable mess in his life. Hana found it difficult to handle his active addiction, as the deceptions he wove to conceal it significantly damaged their trust. Nevertheless, they maintained a friendship and displayed immense courage when they were both captives at a VA office, putting each other’s lives on the line during their ordeal.
It appears that Hana and Ethan might be rekindling their romantic feelings, but they could also choose to maintain a friendly bond until Ethan finds more stability. Regardless, it’s crucial for FBI: Most Wanted to clarify their relationship status as the series approaches its finale.
