The initial season of “Daredevil: Reborn” introduced several intriguing new characters along with its recurring actors, and I firmly believe that one of the most significant new Marvel Universe characters is destined to meet their end soon. Given the plotlines for season 2 of “Daredevil: Reborn,” and the trajectories some of these characters appear to be on, this outcome seems almost unavoidable. In a world transformed, with a conflict against vigilantes escalating in the streets, the outlook is grim for both Daredevil and his adversaries alike.
Reviving the Netflix Daredevil characters proved to be quite a challenge, but many believe Disney handled it well, particularly with the setup for the Defenders’ comeback. After a lengthy production process, Born Again was finally unveiled to widespread acclaim. With future seasons on the horizon, it seems they aim to release one each year. Consequently, I feel reassured that I won’t have to wait too much longer to discover if my assumptions about this character are correct and witness how their intricate connections with other characters unfold in the series.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 Has Already Suggested Daniel Blake’s Days Are Numbered
Blake Is Tied Up With Some Twisted And Crooked Villains
In the series “Daredevil: Born Again,” Daniel Blake is a significant new character, but he finds himself in a very delicate situation. Despite numerous theories surrounding Daniel Blake within the show, such as him potentially being Kingpin’s son, none of these assumptions have been proven true. Instead, Blake appears to be a young political advisor who appears dedicated to assisting Wilson Fisk in all his ventures. Anything beyond this is mere speculation.
Despite Blake’s unwavering and fervent devotion, there appears to be mounting tension, leading me to foresee potential conflicts. Throughout the series, Fisk has shown displeasure with Blake’s actions and has even made veiled threats about the consequences of future mistakes. Whether Fisk would resort to lethal measures against Blake remains uncertain, but it certainly seems plausible. Given Blake’s loyalty and the complex relationships he has with characters such as Daredevil, Vanessa, and Bullseye, it seems unlikely that he can endure much longer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe show.
Daredevil’s Comic Ties Make Daniel Blake’s Death Seem More Inevitable
Shadowland And Devil’s Reign Both Seem Important To Season 2
Following the leak of multiple preview photos for “Born Again” season 2, it has been decided that the narrative for the series will not follow two specific comic book storylines. The most noticeable departure is from “Devil’s Reign,” a comic by Chip Zdarsky where superheroes are banned in New York City by Mayor Wilson Fisk. With high-stakes drama and a large ensemble of characters banding together to oppose Fisk, this story seems crucial for the upcoming season of the show. Given its exploration of political resistance, it’s plausible that the character of Blake could find himself right in the line of fire.
It appears that “Born Again” is poised to explore the storyline known as “Shadowland,” where Daredevil assumes control of the Hand. As New York City undergoes transformation, and with leaked photos hinting at a dark costume for Daredevil, it’s possible these elements are being incorporated into the upcoming season. By making Blake a casualty amidst the complexities of law and morality, the writers can heighten the drama and build tension effectively. Regardless of whether Blake ultimately takes on Richard Fisk’s role in the series, this scenario could add emotional depth to the Kingpin character.
Killing Off Daniel Blake Would Be The Perfect Way To Amp The Tension For Daredevil: Born Again
Some Important Characters Will Need To Die To Set Up The Stakes
The gritty, realistic, and violent series “Daredevil: Born Again” must maintain an emotional depth for its dramatic moments to resonate, such as Elektra’s death in the Netflix version. While many characters are vital to the storyline, their sudden demise would be too extreme, particularly after Foggy’s loss. However, Daniel Blake’s departure could contribute significantly to the show’s improvement.
Blake exhibits many traits that make him relatable to most people. He’s prone to making significant errors and is passionate enough to devote everything he has towards helping Wilson Fisk. I’m not certain if he would voluntarily sacrifice himself for Kingpin, but it seems plausible that he could end up in a predicament where such a fate befalls him unintentionally. Should Daniel Blake meet his demise, it would create an engaging atmosphere of tension and conflict within the series.
It’s quite likely that the character Daniel Blake, who isn’t widely popular or respected within the comic book world, could meet his end in the Daredevil: Born Again series. Given his current position, it seems like his fate might involve him being written out of the show, possibly as early as season 2, or even extended into later seasons such as Daredevil: Born Again. If Blake survives beyond these points, it would be surprising.
