At Star Wars Celebration Japan, Electronic Arts Inc. unveiled a game titled “Star Wars: Zero Company”. This single-player turn-based tactics game was developed in partnership between Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games. In this Star Wars game, players will assume the role of Hawks, a former Republic officer, to lead an elite team of resourceful operatives through a realistic and authentic narrative that takes place towards the end of the Clone Wars. As a diverse group of skilled individuals brought together from various parts of the galaxy, Zero Company must put aside their disagreements to overcome overwhelming challenges and tackle an impending threat that could potentially engulf the entire galaxy if ignored.

According to Greg Foertsch, CEO and Creative Director at Bit Reactor, the design concept for Star Wars Zero Company is centered around gameplay principles that seamlessly integrate the captivating Star Wars galaxy with engaging turn-based strategy gameplay. The goal is to create a game featuring an authentic Star Wars story set during the Clone Wars era, where player decisions have significant consequences, and tactical combat offers deep gameplay with an easy-to-understand and cinematic presentation.

At Lucasfilm Games, we’ve been eager for quite some time to create a game of this type, and our enthusiasm for strategy games runs deep,” expressed Douglas Reilly, General Manager and Vice President at Lucasfilm Games. “The finest tactics games are centered around impactful decisions, and we believe that Bit Reactor’s team is perfectly suited to craft an engaging and innovative title that stays true to the essence of Star Wars.

As a die-hard Star Wars fan, I’m thrilled about the upcoming game, Star Wars: Zero Company! In this exciting adventure, I’ll be leading tactical operations and probing mysteries scattered across the galaxy. During downtime, I’ll establish my own command center and build an intricate web of informants to stay one step ahead of our enemies. What makes it even more enticing is the ability to craft and personalize a squad of operators, alongside meeting freshly-created Star Wars characters that will surely captivate me!

In this game, you have the freedom to customize both the looks and combat roles of hawks, while your recruited operatives can be individually tailored from a diverse selection of Star Wars character types, such as Clone Troopers, astromechs, or even Jedi. Customize the appearances, equipment, and skills of your teammates across various character categories for optimal performance. As members of Zero Company venture into battle, they will form strong bonds with one another to unlock potent combat advantages that could shift the balance of power in a critical moment. With countless customization options and challenging situations that could determine the galaxy’s destiny, players must be meticulous in their preparations, employ sharp tactics, and assemble the perfect team to emerge victorious.

Star Wars Zero Company will be released in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
