The Steam page for Hollow Knight Silksong has been refreshed, yet the information isn’t what enthusiasts were anticipating.

There’s been lots of speculation about Hollow Knight Silksong lately, particularly after the brief glimpse shown during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. Fans have been eagerly anticipating updates, but so far there’s been very little news about the game, leaving many to wonder if it’s just a tantalizing tease.

Regrettably for long-waiting game enthusiasts, the recent update to the game hasn’t been as positive as hoped: The trailer for the game on its Steam store has been taken offline.

Due to scarce updates since its first reveal, anticipation among fans for any hint about the release date has been growing significantly, making each piece of news particularly exciting.

However, this new update is moving in the opposite direction, with content being taken away.

A quick visit to Hollow Knight Silksong’s Steam page reveals that the trailer has been pulled down completely. The page is still up, sure, but it only features 6 screenshots and a small description of what the game will be when it’s out.

Although it might seem negative at first glance, it could actually work in our favor. After all, the latest trailer for the game was recently unveiled during Nintendo Direct. Perhaps they’re clearing the trailer to provide a fresher, more up-to-date perspective on how the game is played.

Back in 2019, we first got a glimpse of Silksong during its initial gameplay unveiling. Since then, you can expect that the game may have undergone some changes or updates and might look different from what was shown back then.

Although it might appear unfavorable at first glance, it potentially sets the stage for positive developments down the line. However, there’s further unfortunate news to come.

Previously, Steam’s backend arranged games based on their release dates, listing Silksong in the middle among other anticipated titles. However, the sequence shown on various “Coming Soon” pages derived from this article has now been rearranged.

It’s uncertain if this disappearance of the April 29th date represents a Steam update or some technical glitch behind the scenes, but either way, it’s gone. However, there’s still a chance that this could mean the game’s release is within the Spring/Summer season of 2025.
