Additional anime content is coming to prominent streaming platforms, ranging from brand-new series to re-runs of previously aired shows. Among them is a whole season of one of the most popular titles that debuted in the 2020s.

Under the brand name “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy,” which has been around for more than a decade, the anime version started airing in the 2020s. Next month, the first season of this isekai anime will become available on prominent streaming services, expanding their anime collection. This means fans can now watch the first season while anticipating the release of the next one.

Popular Isekai Anime Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Is Finally Coming to Hulu

Starting on May 27, 2025, Hulu will be debuting the first season of the anime “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy.” This initial season consists of twelve episodes and originally aired from July to September in 2021. Notably, it was directed by Shinji Ishihira, who is also known for directing “Edens Zero” and the isekai anime “Log Horizon.” The storyline of “Tsukimichi” shares some similarities with other isekai series but has unique elements as well. For instance, the protagonist Makoto Misumi was sent to this world because his parents were actually from there. Initially, this property started in 2012 as a web novel, with the light novels following the next year. The manga adaptation began in 2015 and currently spans 14 volumes, with the anime version being released several years later. The creator of “Tsukimichi” is Kei Azumi.

To date, the anime series “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” spans across 37 episodes in total. At the culmination of Season 2, news broke about the production of a third season. However, due to the time elapsed since the first two seasons, fans may have to exercise patience before they can enjoy the upcoming installment. Joining Hulu’s roster in May is “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy,” one of several new additions to the platform. Many of these titles fall under the isekai genre. This influx follows a period of change in Hulu’s offerings, with “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” potentially indicating that the library will be expanded once more.
