According to Variety, Season 3 of “Conan O’Brien Must Go” has been greenlit by Max before the premiere of Season 2, which is set for May 2025 on Max. In this new season, Conan O’Brien will travel to New Zealand, Austria, and Spain. In response to this news and the upcoming debut of Season 2, Nina Rosenstein, executive vice president of HBO Programming, Late Night & Specials, shared her thoughts.

Collaborating with Conan and his crew for ‘Conan O’Brien Must Go’ is an unforgettable adventure. They’re exasperatingly clever, and there’s no one else who can make locals feel quite as out-of-place in their own country like Conan does……This season, we’ll be seeing him in traditional German lederhosen.

In Season 1 of “Conan O’Brien Must Go”, the renowned comedian embarked on trips to Norway, Argentina, Thailand, and Ireland. The series primarily revolves around Conan O’Brien’s visits to these countries and encounters with fans he had previously interacted with on his podcast, “Conan O’Brien Needs Friends”. With a high rating of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 18 reviews, it was anticipated that the show would be renewed for Season 2, which indeed happened in May 2024, a month after the initial episodes were aired. Leveraging Conan O’Brien’s enduring popularity, HBO and Max are planning to keep “Conan O’Brien Must Go” on air for several more years ahead.

Conan O’Brien Is Going Strong

Releasing Conan O’Brien’s show “Conan O’Brien Must Go” in May 2025 coincides with the broadcast of Nathan Fielder’s “The Rehearsal” Season 2 on HBO, as the latter is scheduled to begin on Apr. 20, 2025 and run for six weeks until May 25, 2025. Both networks, HBO and Max, are gearing up for a summer filled with highly-anticipated series from renowned comedians Conan O’Brien and Nathan Fielder, promising a hilarious season ahead. However, given the growing popularity of “Conan O’Brien Must Go,” there is speculation as to whether Max will release all episodes at once like they did with Season 1 or space them out over several weeks.

Continuing an impressive run, Conan O’Brien is set to make another appearance in May. Kicking off in August 2024 with his entertaining stint on the YouTube series “Hot Ones,” O’Brien then revisited his origins by guest-starring on the Season 36 premiere of “The Simpsons,” titled “The Simpsons Series Finale.” Notably, Conan O’Brien began his career as a writer for “The Simpsons,” and in this episode, he portrays himself as the host of the final episode, which takes an unexpected turn.

In more straightforward terms: Conan O’Brien’s latest stint hosting the Academy Awards has garnered some of the best feedback the event has received in a long time, and it seems that ABC is already discussing the possibility of him returning next year to host again. With his humor still sharp after over 40 years in comedy, Conan O’Brien shows no signs of slowing down.
