Pete Davidson Joins James Gunn’s Superman Movie

David Leitch’s forthcoming bank heist film now has a “How to Rob a Bank”. This is the name of the sequel to his previous work, “The Fall Guy”.

According to reports, it’s suggested that Pete Davidson is in talks to join forces with Nicholas Hoult in a new film titled “How to Rob a Bank.” Although specifics about the plot are being kept secret, this upcoming project unites the stars of James Gunn’s recent and upcoming DC movies, The Suicide Squad (2021) and Superman. The production is under Amazon MGM Studios, with David Leitch producing via his 87North in collaboration with Kelly McCormick. Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum of Imagine are also producers for “How to Rob a Bank.” Mark Bianculli penned the script for the movie and will serve as an executive producer.

In February 2025, David Leitch’s new film titled “How to Rob a Bank” will be released, which will be his sequel to the 2024 action-romantic comedy “The Fall Guy“, starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. Leitch initially gained recognition in Hollywood as a stuntman, making his directorial debut (though not officially credited) alongside Chad Stahelski on the 2014 action movie “John Wick“. The success of this film led to numerous other directing opportunities for Leitch, including the 2017 action hit “Atomic Blonde“, the 2018 Marvel film “Deadpool 2“, the 2019 Fast & Furious spinoff “Hobbs & Shaw“, and the 2022 action comedy “Bullet Train“. Leitch is also rumored to be working on a yet-to-be-titled project.

From SNL to the Big Screen

Davidson’s significant achievement occurred when he became a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live in 2014, where he stayed for eight seasons until his departure in 2022. Since then, he has moved into film acting, with roles in the comedies Big Time Adolescence (2019) and The King of Staten Island (2020), the latter of which he also co-wrote. He has since been seen in the DC Extended Universe movie The Suicide Squad, as well as horror film Bodies Bodies Bodies and romantic comedy Meet Cute (both 2022). His most recent appearances include the crime comedy Riff Raff and voicing a villain in an unspecified production.

Amazon MGM Studios, renowned for action series such as Bosch, Cross, and Reacher, is actively growing its collection of action titles. At present, they are producing a live-action remake of Masters of the Universe, with Henry Cavill rumored to be starring in it. If the agreement is finalized, Scott Stuber from Amazon MGM will take on a producer role for this project.

How to Rob a Bank remains undated at this time, but is expected to receive a theatrical release.
