star Peter Krause opens up about leaving the hit series behind in tragic fashion.
According to reports, longtime star Peter Krause of the popular show 9-1-1 has made an official announcement about his departure from the series after the latest episode. In a statement, he expressed gratitude towards Dana Walden, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear for giving him the opportunity to play such a nuanced character over nine years. He stated, “I’ve been privileged to portray Captain Bobby Nash.” Krause acknowledged that many fans are upset about this change and he understands their feelings as it is indeed a loss.
In essence, Bobby Nash’s character was more than just a daring creative decision on an already daring show. He was crafted for this role, mirroring the selflessness of real-life first responders who put their lives on the line daily so that others may live. His storyline pays tribute to these heroes. The team behind 9-1-1 salutes all the brave men and women in such perilous professions, striving to keep us safe. Krause added, “I will miss my 9-1-1 family. We bid a difficult farewell to our exceptional crew whose skill is unmatched, our talented writers who constantly surprise us, and our dedicated directors.
Since the debut of “9-1-1” in 2018, Ryan Krause has been playing Captain Bobby Nash from Fire Station 118. He appeared alongside an illustrious cast that includes Angela Bassett as Sergeant Athena Grant-Nash of the LAPD, Kenneth Choi as firefighter and paramedic Kenneth Choi, and Jennifer Love Hewitt as Maddie Han, a 911 dispatcher. On April 17, Krause’s character, Captain Nash, made an impactful exit by sacrificing himself to protect his team from a lethal virus.
