Paramount+ Expands Footprint in Japan Through Partnership With Local Streamer Lemino

Paramount+ is growing its presence in Japan by partnering with well-known streaming service Lemino, which is run by Japan’s leading telecommunications company, NTT Docomo.

Under this arrangement, Japanese spectators can enjoy Paramount+ through the Lemino Channel. This channel will offer a standalone subscription option on the platform, charged at a monthly rate of approximately $5.40, equivalent to 770 yen.

The latest strategic partnership forged by Paramount in Japan is known as ‘The Lemino Deal.’ This partnership makes Paramount+ accessible on various Japanese platforms such as J:COM Stream, satellite network WOWOW On Demand, Prime Video, and now the Lemino Channel. In a recent development, Paramount has also struck a licensing deal with Japan Airlines (JAL), allowing them to offer a selection of titles from Paramount+ as part of JAL’s in-flight entertainment.

Paramount+ maintains a significant presence globally, broadcasting popular shows such as ‘Yellowstone’ and ‘Landman,’ according to Marco Nobili, Executive Vice President and International General Manager at Paramount+. By teaming up with Lemino, Paramount+ aims to bring an array of top-tier movies, series, and franchises to a larger Japanese audience.”

Or more concisely:

“Paramount+ expands its reach in Japan through a partnership with Lemino, offering popular global shows like ‘Yellowstone’ and ‘Landman,’ along with hit films and franchises to more fans in the region.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled about the Lemino deal that’s just been activated! This means I can now enjoy an extensive collection of Paramount+ content, which includes the gripping series “Yellowstone” and “Landman”, as well as blockbuster hits like the chilling “A Quiet Place: Day One”, the action-packed “Tulsa King” starring Sylvester Stallone, and the spy thriller “The Agency” featuring Michael Fassbender. To top it off, I’ll also have access to classic franchise favorites such as “Mission: Impossible” and “Transformers”. This is truly a dream come true for any movie enthusiast like myself!
