Twisted Metal Season 2 Release Date Announced, Teaser Sets Up Iconic Character’s Introduction

It’s been confirmed by Peacock that Twisted Metal Season 2 will premiere on July 31. In a sneak peek video, they’ve revealed the antagonist for Season 2 – Calypso.

Anthony Carrigan portrays Calypso, an actor recognized for his parts in Barry, Gotham, Fatherhood, and Bill & Ted Face the Music. The second season revolves around the Twisted Metal tournament, a destructive car race overseen by Calypso, which carries a dark and ominous tone.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that in this upcoming season, it’s me (John, portrayed by Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) who are gearing up for another high-stakes derby. We’re facing off against a diverse group of competitors, one being the sinister Sweet Tooth, voiced brilliantly by Will Arnett and brought to life by Joe Seanoa AKA Samoa Joe. But here’s an exciting twist – John’s sister, the enigmatic vigilante Dollface (Tiana Okoye), makes her appearance in this season as well!

Michael Jonathan Smith, also known as Cobra Cai, serves as the scriptwriter, executive producer, and overseeing manager for the series Twisted Metal. Joining him in the role of executive producers are Deadpool veterans Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, along with Mackie and Arnett.

The Twisted Metal video game franchise originates from Sony Pictures Television, Universal Television, and PlayStation Productions. Notably, PlayStation Productions is responsible for both their movie and TV ventures, which also encompass Sony’s future projects such as the upcoming Until Dawn and Helldivers films.
