Actor Joel Kinnaman is set to appear in the forthcoming Apple TV+ miniseries titled “Imperfect Women,” according to our latest information.
In the upcoming show, initially announced in March and inspired by Araminta Hall’s novel with the same title, Kinnaman will join previously confirmed stars Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, and Kate Mara. Together, they form an impressive cast for this exciting project.
The projects are referred to as an “atypical psychological thriller,” delving into a crime that disrupts the long-standing bond of three friends. ‘Imperfect Women’ presents a mystery clouded by varying viewpoints, addressing themes such as guilt and retribution, love and deceit, and the choices we make that can reshape our lives forever. As the investigation unfolds, so does the reality of how relationships, even those closest to us, can evolve over time.
Kinnaman will play Robert in the series.
Kinnaman is embarking on his second project with Apple TV+, where he plays astronaut Ed Baldwin in the space-themed alternate history series “For All Mankind.” This show is now entering its fifth season. Prior to this, Kinnaman has starred in various television shows such as “Altered Carbon” and “House of Cards” on Netflix, “Hanna” on Amazon, and “The Killing” on AMC. In films, he has appeared in both “Suicide Squad” movies, the 2014 reboot of “RoboCop,” and the action-thriller “Silent Night,” which he also served as an executive producer for.
Kinnaman’s second Apple TV+ production is the space drama “For All Mankind,” where he plays astronaut Ed Baldwin (now in its fifth season). His other notable TV roles include “Altered Carbon” on Netflix, “House of Cards,” “Hanna,” and “The Killing.” In films, you may recognize him from the “Suicide Squad” movies, the “RoboCop” remake, and the action-thriller “Silent Night,” which he also produced.

Annie Weisman is set to transform “Imperfect Women” for television screens, taking on the role of executive producer through Love & Squalor Pictures. Lindsey McManus from Love & Squalor will also serve as an executive producer, with the company having previously acquired the book’s rights. Washington and Simpson Street are also set to executive produce, along with Pilar Savone. Additionally, Hall, Moss, Lesli Linka Glatter, Kay Oyegun, and others will also executive produce in various capacities. The series is a joint production between 20th Television and Apple Studios.
