KICK stars can now multi-stream on Twitch & YouTube but there’s a big catch

It’s now possible for streamers to broadcast simultaneously on Twitch and YouTube while earning money through KICK. But, there’s a condition to be aware of.

In recent times, platforms such as YouTube, Facebook Gaming, and Mixer have attempted to dethrone Twitch’s dominance in the streaming sector. However, none have managed to displace it so far.

KICK emerges as a fresh contender for the throne, bolstered by financial support from Stake in the streaming realm. It is well-known for its strong support towards streamers, offering a more generous 95% share of subscriber revenue compared to Twitch’s traditional 50/50 or 70/30 splits.

Furthermore, similar to Twitch, KICK now permits its streamers to broadcast simultaneously on several platforms.

KICK streamers will lose money multi-streaming

Yet, despite KICK revealing the potential for earning income by multi-streaming on their platform, there’s a significant condition – you must first become a KICK partner, which may result in lower earnings compared to what you might anticipate.

When you’re broadcasting across multiple platforms (multistreaming), the way your earnings are determined can change, potentially reducing them by as much as half when compared to streaming only on KICK. This information is provided in one of KICK’s FAQ sections found at the bottom of the page.

As a streamer eager to multi-stream with KICK, don’t forget to activate a particular setting within your streaming preferences.

Stream everywhere. Grow everywhere.

For numerous streamers, it’s a significant financial setback because platforms like KICK offer the opportunity to earn more than the minimum wage in the U.S., provided one consistently averages around 50 viewers per hour.

Adin Ross stated at the beginning of April that if you have 1,000 viewers, you earn $100 per hour. However, if your average is only 50 viewers, then you’re making around $10 an hour. If you’re a streamer on KICK without subscribers, earning this amount means you’re working at minimum wage.
