Joanna Gaines Sets ‘Mini Reni’ Home Design Series at Max, Magnolia Network (EXCLUSIVE)

For a temporary period, Chip Gaines will work independently, as Joanna Gaines takes the lead in the newest series for the “Fixer Upper” duo’s Magnolia Network titled “Mini Reni”, without Chip’s involvement.

According to the description of “Mini Reni,” Joanna Gaines tackles a collection of compact projects within tight deadlines. In every episode, she adds thoughtful, inventive touches to revamp smaller areas in a significant way.

Joanna Gaines shares her affection for ‘Mini Reni’, stating that it allows her to fully invest in just one or two compact areas. She explained to EbMaster that these aren’t extensive home makeovers, but rather an opportunity to guide people to design their homes progressively and mindfully. This way, instead of being overwhelmed by the myriad aspects involved in larger renovations, viewers can appreciate the joy of crafting beauty by focusing on the finer details that truly reflect their unique story.

Beginning May 14th, the show titled “Mini Reni” will make its premiere simultaneously on streaming platform Max and Magnolia Network (a joint venture between Max’s parent company Warner Bros. Discovery and the Gaines family), as well as the Magnolia app. The first season of this nine-episode series will be released progressively, with each new episode premiering every Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time until July 9th.

The series is produced by Chip and Joanna Gaines through their media company Blind Nil.

At Magnolia Network, we constantly search for tales that are both motivating and easy to connect with, and ‘Mini Reni’ perfectly encapsulates these qualities, as stated by Allison Page, the network’s president. Joanna possesses a unique ability to make design feel relatable and captivating, which is clearly demonstrated in this series. For us, ‘Mini Reni’ represents a joyous tribute to Magnolia Network and its role as a catalyst for creativity. Audience members are in for a treat as they get to witness another side of Joanna, and I’m thrilled to be part of sharing this unique project with everyone.

Jarrett Lambo, executive vice president of Blind Nil, commented: “Our aim was to embody Joanna’s creative spirit and depict her design journey authentically. Through our past collaborations on Magnolia Network projects, we have gained insights into her distinctive storytelling style. Smaller projects like these provide Jo with a chance to rediscover the essence of her inspiration after major renovations. In ‘Mini Reni’, we emphasized the magic Jo brings about – it wasn’t about extensive reconstruction, but about creating meaningful spaces and understanding the interplay between people’s lives and where they spend time with their loved ones. Blind Nil’s minimalist approach to production and the atmosphere it cultivates results in genuine and captivating content.
