Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Release Date Leaked – Fans Will Be Thrilled!

Marvel has given the go-ahead for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and we have a tentative release date set for its arrival on Disney Plus.

The character Marvel’s Man Without Fear has traveled quite a distance. Following the cancellation of the Netflix branch in the MCU, supporters have persistently advocated for the reappearance of Charlie Cox as Daredevil.

In my excitement as a fan, I can’t help but express my delight at how partly they’ve managed to bring Matt Murdock and Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) into various Marvel projects, paving the way for the anticipated, gritty reboot of the original series, Daredevil: Born Again.

In a thrilling turn of events, Episode 9 (the final episode) has been released on Disney Plus, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating more. Fortunately, it seems that we won’t have to wait much longer for the next season!

Is there a Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 release date?

It’s anticipated that the second season of Daredevil: Born Again will drop in summer 2026, though a specific launch date hasn’t been announced yet.

According to Marvel’s TV head, Brad Winderbaum, the intention is for “Born Again” to be released annually, implying a new season every year, starting with Season 2 in 2026, followed by Season 3 in 2027, and so forth.

Next year, we’ll see Season 2, followed by Seasons 3 and beyond, if all goes well. This urban landscape of New York seems to have an endless supply of tales waiting to be shared,” he expressed.

The filming for the second season commenced in February 2025, with plans to continue until July. Yet, an intriguing query arises: will it be released prior to Avengers: Doomsday in May, or perhaps slotted between that and Spider-Man: Brand New Day in July, or maybe after?

Since no official premiere dates for Marvel have been set prior to Doomsday, it appears that March 2026 might be the likely timeframe for Season 2’s arrival.

Who’s in the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 cast?

In the upcoming season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again,” Charlie Cox will once again take on the character Matt Murdock, with Vincent D’Onofrio playing Wilson Fisk/Kingpin and Deborah Ann Woll portraying Karen Page. Additionally, the ensemble is anticipated to feature other notable characters as well.

  • Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher
  • Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk
  • Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye
  • Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn
  • Nikki M. James as Kirsten McDuffie
  • Clark Johnson as Cherry
  • Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blake
  • Zabryna Guevara as Sheila Rivera
  • Genneya Walton as BB Urich
  • Arty Froushan as Buck Cashman

According to Brad Winderbaum, while not revealing specific plot details, it’s anticipated that Elden Henson will reappear in the role of Foggy, though it seems likely these appearances would be through flashback scenes rather than present-day events, considering the current direction of the series.

Will the Defenders return in Season 2?

It’s possible that Matt might rejoin the Defenders in Season 2, considering how Daredevil: Born Again concludes in Season 1. Furthermore, the actors seem eager to return for another season.

At the conclusion of the initial season, Fisk declares war on all vigilantes in New York, either imprisoning them or ordering their execution through his task force. In response, Matt opts to rally an army for resistance – a move that provides an excellent opportunity to re-introduce Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

On CBS Mornings, Krysten Ritter expressed her thoughts on the possibility of revisiting the franchise: “You know, I adore Jessica Jones. It’s thrilling to me that there appears to be so much interest in seeing her return,” she stated.

“I’m frequently inquired about this topic daily. Maintaining a hopeful yet guarded attitude, I’d say. Should someone ask for my presence, I’d be prepared to oblige. As for the coat, I might or might not possess the one I took from the set.

Actor Mike Colter, who played in “Cage,” remains optimistic. He said, “I’m still holding onto hope for it. I no longer dwell on the thought. I believe there’s always time. I don’t think it’s unattainable. The unexpected can happen.” (He told Collider this.)

At an anime convention in Mexico, Finn Jones, known for his portrayal of Danny Rand (also called Iron Fist), acknowledged the criticisms directed towards the character and his performance within it.

His reaction was roughly, ‘Give me a chance, please! I’m all set and eager. I yearn to disprove the naysayers. I’d be thrilled if that could occur.’

What will happen in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?

According to leaked images, it’s anticipated that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will likely focus on Matt’s mission to bring down the Kingpin, potentially involving an alliance with Bullseye.

We also know Matt will have a new suit in the second season: all black, with a red DD logo.

Sana Amanat, the executive producer, hinted: “It’s been fantastic! We’ve been filming numerous exhilarating scenes. Our team is doing an exceptional job, and the action never slows down. The setting has a twist. It’s still New York City, but it’s a unique version of the city.

As a devoted fan, I’ve been absolutely thrilled by the intriguing content we’ve received lately. To be honest, I’ve been practically bursting with excitement all week! This past week, we had the incredible opportunity to film an extensive scene alongside Wilson Fisk. It was like stepping into a sweet shop as a child, pure joy and anticipation filled me!

In conversation with Brandon Davis, Aaron Moorhead, and Justin Benson mentioned: “With the start of Season 2, we delve into a new phase where Daredevil and Kingpin are completely fulfilled… they’re in harmony with their own selves. Matt appears to be at his most content as he can relentlessly fight Kingpin’s minions.

“He’s happy and that’s dark… we’re not starting Season 2 with everything in its right place.”
