ArenaNet has unveiled the Guild Wars: The 20th Anniversary Ultimate Collection, a comprehensive version of the original Guild Wars MMORPG that includes all its campaigns and expansions. To mark two decades of gameplay, the classic MMORPG, Guild Wars, first released in 2005 and known for its subscription-free online adventures, is launching a new content update and a special edition. Called Guild Wars: The Anniversary Masterpiece Collection, it combines three campaigns (Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall), the Eye of the North expansion, and the Bonus Mission Pack into one package. This exclusive version of the game will be offered at an 80% discount on the Guild Wars 2 store, making it the largest price reduction in the game’s history. Additionally, in-game items will be reduced by up to 60%, with savings also applying to other editions on Steam during this sale period.
Over the latest edition, the game is set to introduce a fresh content update. Previously exclusive promotional items from pre-orders and specific regions dating back to the mid-2000s will now be available as rare loot from powerful in-game foes. Furthermore, certain miniatures that were previously only released in limited quantities can now be acquired as non-tradeable items from Merrise at Embark Beach during the in-game Anniversary festival, which runs until May 6th.
In summary, expect some exciting enhancements for your main-hand weapons as bonus drops. These special “Profession” modifiers can elevate a named profession’s key attribute to a maximum of 5, even if you don’t typically have that attribute. This opens up new character build opportunities for existing characters. Additionally, the weapon adorned with these modifiers will emit radiant streaks in colors corresponding to their specific professions.
