The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake Screenshots Spotted on Developer Website – Rumour

There’s a strong possibility that we’ll soon hear about the supposed reboot of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Reddit user Taurnil has discovered some screenshots related to this remake on the servers of support studio Virtuos Games.

Although the files are now hidden from view, it appears they may have been inadvertently exposed to the public. Two images of the files were detected, and can be found on a Reddit discussion thread about the remake.

Virtuos Games is a studio known for collaborating with various companies in the development of numerous high-profile game releases across multiple fields. As stated on their official site, they’ve contributed to the creation process of games like “Dune: Awakening” and “Dark Souls: Remastered,” provided engineering services for titles such as “Judas” and “Outriders,” and handled art production for popular games including “League of Legends” and “Stellar Blade.

The studio boasts a rich background in developing games for multiple platforms and budget ranges, spanning from simpler games such as “Dave the Diver” to big-name titles like “Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart” and “New World: Aeternum”.

Although neither Bethesda nor Virtuos have confirmed it officially, there’s been a lot of chatter suggesting a remake for The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. One such rumor from January claims that the game has been completely rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5 instead of Bethesda’s own engine.

In addition to the new engine, the remake will come with several adjustments to its gameplay mechanics. These changes encompass stealth, block mechanics, archery, enemy responses, and even how stamina functions. Furthermore, it appears that the entire user interface (HUD) has undergone a complete overhaul.

Based on recent rumors, it seems that Bethesda could be gearing up to release “The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion” quite imminently, potentially as early as the week of April 21, according to the latest reports.

Given its name hint, “The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion” is actually the fourth major installment in the RPG series. First launched for both PC and Xbox 360 as far back as March 2006, this game was met with a range of opinions regarding the changes it introduced compared to its predecessor, “The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.

Back when I was deep into Oblivion, everyone seemed to love the game’s grandiose world and engaging gameplay. However, I found myself grappling with an issue that left my character feeling underpowered – it seemed that as I progressed, enemies would scale up in level right along with me. This meant that if I wasn’t careful, I could end up with a character that was significantly weaker than I had anticipated.
