Details on the New Escape Section and the Game System’s Three Sections

In this latest update, a fresh “Escape” segment has been incorporated along with the original “Investigation” and “Dream” segments. Each segment offers a unique playable character, and the narrative unfolds as players move between these distinct gameplay aspects.

Investigation

In the course of an investigation, guide Kaname Date, our main character, as he pursues the mystery surrounding Iris’ disappearance. As you progress through the story, explore different real-world locations, examine crime scenes, and interrogate crucial witnesses. Throughout his journey, Date makes use of AI-Ball, his artificial intelligence-enhanced prosthetic left eye, to discover critical pieces of evidence that could crack the case open.

Somnium

In this installment of the series, you’ll be managing Aiba, who appears as a female humanoid instead of Kaname Date. By utilizing a tool called the “Psync” device, you’ll dive into the dream world of a witness. Here, you’ll unearth forgotten memories and uncover hidden truths, all while adhering to a tight six-minute time constraint.

In the realm of dreams, it’s molded by an individual’s character and experiences, so the usual laws of reality are irrelevant. Each dream sequence, or Somnium, has its own distinct set of guidelines. Obstacles called “mental barriers” prevent entry into deeper memories, and navigating these requires specific actions to break through them.

Here, every decision you take requires a certain duration. Mastering the principles of the dream realm and choosing optimal actions will enable you to traverse it effectively and maximize your scarce time resources.

Escape

In Escape, assume command over Iris, a character who finds herself confined within a secured chamber. Your objective is to decipher the riddles hidden throughout the room and discover a means of exit. Throughout this phase, you’ll engage in dialogues with Kaname Date and Aiba, gathering hints through their conversations. Pay close attention to the objects and trinkets scattered about the room, as they hold crucial clues for your escape. Some of the items you gather might not seem significant on their own, but when combined with other objects, they can unlock hidden abilities.
