Minecraft Movie Screenings Now Include These Disclaimers

Now, screenings for the Minecraft film come with a preliminary notice as a precautionary measure following reports of disturbances during theater showings.

A recording from a recent showing of a Minecraft movie at a theater has revealed a new disclaimer. The message reads, “Please be considerate and respectful. Keep in mind that popcorn containers should not be used as substitutes for Ender Pearls.” In the game Minecraft, an Ender Pearl is an item that can be thrown and it transports the player to where it lands instead of exploding like a popcorn container would.

The police are being summoned for screenings of the film due to audiences tossing popcorn around. This warning likely aims to discourage such actions.

Jack Black, who portrays the primary character, Steve, made an appearance at a screening and kindly requested that audience members refrain from scattering popcorn throughout the cinema.

The film has been successful and currently ranks as the second-highest earning video game adaptation in history, trailing only The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Despite no formal agreement for a sequel, Warner Bros. executive Mike De Luca hints that they are actively planning to produce one soon.

In TopMob’s review of the Minecraft movie, we expressed that if you find the idea of Jack Black exploring the Overworld entertaining, then you will likely appreciate this film.
