Streamer ‘IZIDORE’ has become a popular topic online, as he captured attention by performing an extreme act of endurance – subjecting himself to pain from dripping water – for the sake of viewers, showcasing one of the most daring feats seen on the web.
Over the years, I’ve discovered countless innovative strategies that Twitch streamers have employed to captivate viewers on their broadcasts. For instance, Ludwig spent more than two days streaming from within a glass box, all in support of charity. On another note, Norme managed an unofficial world record by staying awake for an impressive 264 hours straight!
Considering all these factors, it’s challenging to surprise people with a Twitch stream, but one content creator managed to elevate the bar of shock value even further.
In April 2025, Twitch streamer ‘IZIDORE’ raised the stakes significantly. For those who donated a specific number of bits to his channel (a digital currency on the platform), he would have a previously agreed-upon amount of cold water dripped onto his forehead.

Twitch streamer uses Chinese Water Torture on himself for views
If something about this seems reminiscent, it’s probably due to previous exposure. Often known as ‘The Chinese Water Torture’, it’s an authentic form of torture that has been documented in Bologna, Italy around the 15th – 16th centuries.
Ever since then, it seems to have left a lasting impression on international cultural awareness, possibly due in part to Mythbusters, who examined this technique in one of their episodes back in 2005. (The results were indecisive.)
Without hesitation, Izidore dared his mental fortitude and offered his audience the opportunity to financially torment him, resulting in an astonishing 450,000 views during his livestream on April 12.
Showcasing his cleverness, the live-streamer built a device that showered chilly water droplets onto his brow based on the number of bits he earned during the broadcast – and he persisted tirelessly for an uninterrupted stretch of sixteen hours.
However, it doesn’t look like Izidore felt ‘tortured,’ at all.
The streamer commented with delight as they surpassed the 16-hour mark, ‘What a blast, mate! The results turned out to be far superior than I had imagined.’
Among the many daring feats Izidore has attempted during his Twitch streaming career, one can find instances such as “devouring one hundred chicken nuggets” and “spending twenty-four hours confined within a cage.” Notably, another streamer managed to survive in a similar predicament for thirty consecutive days back in 2019.
