At the show, Green Day’s lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong invited a fan up onto the stage during Coachella 2025 to perform their famous tune “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” together.
After retrieving the guitar from Armstrong, the man prepared himself to perform the tune. As soon as he struck up the music, he strolled about on stage until Billie Joe Armstrong put an affectionate arm around his shoulders.
At the moment, it’s unclear what Billie Joe was thinking during that period. He hasn’t spoken about the viral video since it started trending online, but many people have been commenting on posts, describing the encounter as “uncomfortable” and “strange.
Currently, the singer has revealed his identity following a video he shared on his TikTok profile, looking back on the occasion and addressing queries in the comment section.

He exclaimed on the video that he just had an amazing dream where Green Day invited him to perform with them at Coachella! In the caption, he expressed gratitude to the band for making his ‘dream of a lifetime’ come true.
The video concludes by showing him performing with the band, and since its release on April 13, it has been watched more than 250,000 times, with many fans expressing their opinions in the comments section.
One user commented that they’ve never witnessed Billie Joe snatch a guitar so swiftly. It was quite an uncomfortable spectacle, especially given that Green Day frequently invites people on stage to play their songs.
