Today, Red Hook Studios’ game, Darkest Dungeon II, releases a new Kingdoms expansion called “Secrets of the Coven” for PC and Mac systems.
This Kingdoms computer and Mac game update offers enhanced hero path comparisons, better inn storage options, and additional features. These upgrades will eventually be available for console versions as well. Additionally, Red Hook Studios has announced that the Inhuman Bondage DLC will be released on Xbox Series X|S on April 17.
The highly anticipated sequel, Darkest Dungeon II, can now be played on personal computers (PC), the latest models of Xbox (Series X|S), Nintendo’s Switch, the fourth generation of PlayStation (PlayStation 4), and the most recent version of PlayStation (PlayStation 5).

In this latest update from Red Hook Studios, the makers behind Darkest Dungeon, we delve into the enigma of Secrets of the Coven – the second installment among three adventure modules for Darkest Dungeon II. Embark on a journey to expose and vanquish the elusive coven before their insidious power spreads throughout the realm. This free update introduces a fresh Kingdom quest, an enemy faction, innovative mechanics and items, and several highly anticipated features such as inn storage, item trading, and more!
As a thrilled fan here, I’m ecstatic to share that the enigmatic world of Secrets of the Coven unfolds today on Steam, available for both PC and Mac users! The console editions are hot on their heels. To commemorate this grand debut, Darkest Dungeon II is offering a 50% discount on Steam until April 21st! Not only that, but its DLCs, The Binding Blade and Inhuman Bondage, have also been reduced by 25% and 20% respectively. This is an unmissable opportunity for all you adventurers out there!

The game mode called Kingdoms is available for free and offers a new, innovative setup, consisting of three exciting storylines to embark on – starting with “Hunger of the Beast Clan” and followed by “Secrets of the Coven”. Unlike the initial Confessions mode, in Kingdoms, players are responsible for safeguarding their realm as well as a chain of taverns from formidable new adversaries, such as the ferocious beastmen. A fourth adventure module is scheduled to be launched in 2025.
Darkest Dungeon II can be purchased for PC and Mac through platforms like Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. It’s also available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S. The Kingdoms mode and the Inhuman Bondage DLC were initially released on PC and Mac on January 27th, 2025. At present, the base game of Darkest Dungeon II, as well as both DLCs, are discounted on Steam. The Inhuman Bondage DLC will be available on Xbox Series X|S from April 17th.
