Philippine President calls out Vitaly after streamer’s antics made his “blood boil”

In simpler terms, the President of the Philippines publicly criticized the actions of live-streamer Vitaly, who could potentially spend several years in prison due to his misconduct in the Philippines.

On the 3rd of April, Vitaly Zdorovetskiy found himself in police custody, following a string of contentious live streams on Kick. During these broadcasts, he seemed to antagonize locals, steal items, make unwanted advances towards a security officer, attempt to grab a firearm, and engage in various other questionable behaviors.

Prior to his lengthy trial, Vitaly remains incarcerated without preferential treatment. According to reports, he shares a cell with others, consumes the same low-cost meals daily, and endures high temperatures of around 97 degrees without air conditioning.

The actions of Vitaly drew criticism nationwide, with even Philippine President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr expressing disapproval, stating that such behavior would not be accepted.

Vitaly’s “infuriating behavior” slammed by President of the Philippines

According to the Philippine Star’s report, the President labeled Vitaly as “insane” and expressed his anger towards the streamer.

During our observation on Sunday, there was an upsetting display by a foreign blogger towards our countrymen, which made many of us Filipinos feel angry. Regardless of whether he was joking or not, who among us wouldn’t get annoyed while watching it?” Marcos Jr posed rhetorically.

Translation: “What’s this all about… He’s not Filipino, can I comment, right?”

“This situation… Is it something I can share my thoughts on since he’s not a Filipino?” (President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said in a video uploaded to his social media accounts on Monday)

Additionally, he delivered a clear caution to any future problematic broadcasters entering the country with the intention of causing mischief.

He also stated that we won’t tolerate such actions any longer. It’s crucial for us to confront bullies, and the government will support your efforts in bringing light to individuals like these.

The quick response to Vitaly’s actions demonstrates that the country will not adopt a passive stance towards bothersome waterways. Currently, Zdorovetskiy is dealing with three charges of unjust harassment based on the Cybercrime Prevention Act, two accusations of theft, and one charge of attempted theft.

Contrarily, I’ve noticed that Johnny Somali, a figure once admired in South Korea, has been gradually finding himself in hot water. As a popular streamer, he is currently grappling with severe legal issues, including the creation of AI deepfakes and allegations of child sexual harassment, which could potentially lead to significant prison time.
