You Won’t Eat Chocolate Again After Seeing MrBeast’s SHOCKING Cocoa Farm Exposé

Internet sensation MrBeast expresses a preference for being recognized not for his online popularity, but for his efforts aimed at eradicating child labor in the cocoa industry.

In 2022, internet personality Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson introduced his brand of chocolate bars, named ‘Feastables.’ Ever since its launch, the brand has experienced rapid growth in popularity, causing MrBeast to delve deeper into the chocolate industry.

Although he’s been involved in numerous philanthropic ventures previously, he’s currently directing his efforts towards eradicating child labor from cocoa farms by taking charge of the project personally.

He shared that he would provide complimentary breakfasts at schools across West Africa, and this initiative resulted in a 10% rise in attendance within the first week – yet this is only the beginning of his ambitions for this project.

MrBeast takes aim at “big chocolate” with Feastables ad

On April 11, 2025, a video posted by MrBeast highlighted concerns about the chocolate industry and discussed how Feastables is addressing its most significant problems, based on eye-opening data about the sector.

It was disclosed by Donaldson that numerous chocolate producers receive wages below one U.S. dollar per day, and moreover, approximately 45% of children in cocoa-growing communities work illegally on these farms.

In order to abolish the enslavement of approximately 1.5 million child workers within the cocoa industry, MrBeast has committed to providing his farmers with a fair wage according to Fair Trade standards. This will enable them to comfortably afford essentials such as housing, food, and other basic necessities.

According to the U.S. Bureau of International Labor Affairs, over 1.56 million children work in cocoa farms, and numerous cocoa farmers struggle to make more than $2 a day, as reported by Oxfam’s analysis. This indicates that MrBeast’s statements about child labor and poverty in the cocoa industry are not incorrect.

MrBeast assured viewers that every piece of cacao he uses is Fair Trade certified, a benchmark that signifies top-tier ethical business conduct. Notably, the YouTube star disclosed his collaboration with farms in eradicating child labor. These farms identify and rehabilitate child workers, enabling them to leave farm life behind and return to school instead.

Over the past 18 months, I’ve become deeply passionate about Feastables making a positive impact on child labor issues in West African cocoa farms. Here are some steps we’ve taken to make that happen!

Ultimately, MrBeast made a direct appeal to “big chocolate,” encouraging his audience that when they find themselves in an American supermarket, they face a crucial choice: continue the norm or opt for Feastables and express, “That’s enough.” Show your concern about where your chocolate comes from.

In his subsequent update, Donaldson expresses that his ambition now goes beyond leaving a lasting mark on his decades-long YouTube dynasty. Instead, he desires for people to acknowledge his initiatives aimed at eradicating child labor in African cocoa farms.

If there’s something people remember me by, I wish it would be our efforts towards improving the lives of children, specifically our mission to eradicate child labor in cocoa farms. In other words, MrBeast is fully committed to making a difference and tackling this issue head-on.

In this recent public service announcement, we find MrBeast teaming up with Ghana Make a Difference for a significant endeavor – the construction of a surgical facility aimed at aiding the rehabilitation of former child laborers within the nation.

The YouTuber is determined that if someone with as much impact as they have can’t resolve this issue, then likely no one else can either.
