During the Might and Masterary Season, Niantic will introduce the Dynamax versions of the three Legendary Beasts that made their initial appearance after the Kanto Birds’ debuts.
After the appearance of Dynamax Raikou, it’s now time for the Fire-type Legendary from Generation 2, Entei, to take center stage with a unique Max Battle Weekend. Here are all the details about this special Dynamax Entei event.
Max Battle Weekend: Date & time
The event for Dynamax Entei Max Battles in Pokemon Go is scheduled to take place starting this coming Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 6:00 AM and concluding on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 9:00 PM according to local time.
Players will only have a limited period to confront and conquer Dynamax Entei in order to attempt capturing it.
Dynamax debut
In Pokemon Go, it’s been announced that the Fire-type Legendary creature, Entei, will be the second of the Legendary Beasts to receive its Dynamax form. This follows Raikou being the first to get this upgrade, with Suicune expected to be next.
It’s noteworthy that the Shiny Dynamax Entei can be obtained by fortunate, or determined, players who succeed in locating one.
Event bonuses
These are the bonuses that will be active during the Dynamax Entei Max Battle Weekend:
- Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
- 1/4 adventuring distance to receive Max Particles*
- Power Spots will refresh more frequently
- x8 Max Particles from Power Spots
* For this bonus to apply, trainers must collect all the Max Particles from their Nerby Menu first.
From April 21, 2025, right through to the conclusion of the event, a special bonus will be available for all participants.
- 3/4 Max Particle cost for unlocking and powering up Max Moves
Timed Research
Commencing on Monday, the 21st of April, 2025, at 6:00 AM in your local timezone, a complimentary chance for everyone to engage in a Timed Research event will be offered.
Completing this task rewards you with a chance to meet Dynamax Sobble, as well as obtaining various beneficial items such as Candy, Max Particles, and additional goodies.
Remember that Sobble, when dynamaxed, is a powerful Pokemon to fight against dynamaxed Entei. If possible, don’t forget to make use of the complimentary Timed Research opportunity for this matchup.
