During a drag race, a Twitch streamer experienced a startling surprise when a serious collision involving two powerful racing vehicles occurred.
Over time, real-life (IRL) streaming has gained immense traction, making me one of its dedicated followers. Among the thrilling content available, live broadcasts from motorsports events have undeniably captured my attention and enthusiasm.
creators broadcast their experiences live from events such as drag races or Formula 1 competitions, capturing real-time incidents – be they positive or negative.
While live on Twitch, the streamer known as TheStonedVet was broadcasting a nearby drag race, but unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse as two powerful vehicles collided head-on.
Twitch streamer catches drag race accident on stream
In a popular video, two powerful Ford Mustangs prepared for a drag race, quickly accelerating along the track. Just a few moments in, the Mustang in the left lane suddenly veered out of control and collided with the other Mustang on its side.
As I rammed into my opponent on the left, sending us both careening towards the wall at breakneck speed, the force of impact propelled me into another wall on the opposite side of the track, crashing there as well.
Spectators started rushing towards the track on foot, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and a truck, with the intention of saving the racers and evaluating the extent of the incident’s impact.
“Both drivers are okay,” said the race track’s announcer as soon as help arrived at the cars.
Once it was assured that the drivers were safe, the track officials proceeded to remove the vehicles from the course, allowing for the race to resume shortly thereafter.
In the upcoming hour, I found myself joining a queue of vehicles neatly aligned in the designated lane, eager to take a spin along the strip. However, due to an unfortunate incident where a Mustang seemingly took a wrong turn, officials swiftly closed off that particular lane, leaving me to make my passes without any company.
In approximately an hour’s time, they resumed performing drifts in the once shuttered lane, deciding that the situation was secure for continuous street racing. They suspected that the problem might have stemmed from a vehicle malfunction or perhaps a mistake made by the driver, rather than any fault with the track itself.
As a gamer, let me share that it’s not the first time an incident like a real-life car accident has been captured during a stream. In fact, I remember back in 2023 when ExtraEmily was streaming live on Twitch, a man unfortunately rear-ended her car, leaving her quite surprised.
