The hardcover version of “Never Flinch,” which is yet to be released on May 27, can currently be preordered for $22.40 (originally priced at $32). This novel marks King’s first full-length work since September 2023, making the nearly two-year wait quite substantial. Despite this extended interval, King released an outstanding collection of short stories last May, ensuring that his readers, including myself, have not been left wanting for new King narratives. If you have appreciated King’s recent exploration into dark crime fiction, “Never Flinch” promises to be another captivating journey.

A fresh new book that longtime Stephen King fans shouldn’t miss is titled “The End of the World As We Know It: More Tales from Stephen King’s The Stand Universe“. Set to be released on August 19, this anthology includes numerous contemporary authors writing stories within the same world as King’s longest and most acclaimed novel. King himself has written the introduction for this 800-page book. If you’d like to reacquaint yourself with the story before its release, Amazon currently offers a 50% discount on their high-quality hardcover edition of “The Stand”.
Enthusiasts of Stephen King can anticipate the arrival of a new box set, called “Stephen King’s Timeless Terrors 1“. This upcoming paperback compilation includes three of his earlier horror novels: Christine, Cujo, and Pet Sematary, with original artwork on the covers and a slipcase. While this is the only confirmed set at the moment, it seems Scribner might be planning to release more “Stephen King’s Timeless Terrors” sets. The design of the new box set appears to be more appealing than the 2019 collection titled “Three Stephen King Classics“. That said, the latter includes Carrie, ‘Salem’s Lot, and The Shining and is currently available for only $26 (originally $57) on Amazon. Preorders for “Stephen King’s Timeless Terrors 1” are open at $58 before its scheduled release in July.
Stephen King’s second children’s book, a fresh take on the classic tale of Hansel and Gretel, will be published by HarperCollins on September 2nd. This book is intended for young readers in early elementary school and includes illustrations by Maurice Sendak. Interestingly, King has only written one other children’s book – “Charlie the Choo-Choo,” a picture book for toddlers penned under the pseudonym Beryl Evans. Intriguingly, this new book originates from King’s dark fantasy series, The Dark Tower. If you haven’t had a chance to read King’s extensive series yet, consider checking out the Amazon 8-Book Box Set of The Dark Tower, currently on sale for $68.90 (originally $161).
The latest Stephen King movie adaptation, titled “The Monkey,” is now available for pre-order on 4K Blu-ray. Soon, another film directed by Mike Flanagan, titled “The Life of Chuck,” will hit theaters. The premiere date for “The Life of Chuck” is set for June 6. If you’d like to read the original novella before seeing the movie, it’s good to know that “The Life of Chuck” is included in the previously mentioned collection titled “If It Bleeds.” Scribner will also release a separate hardcover edition of “The Life of Chuck” on June 17.
