As a dedicated cinephile, I’ve had the privilege of being associated with Slate PR for an incredible 15-year journey. However, it’s time for us to part ways and officially dissolve our publicity firm. But fear not, my fellow movie enthusiasts! We haven’t said goodbye forever. Instead, we’re embarking on a new adventure together, launching Apex Public Relations. Let’s continue creating magic in the world of cinema with this exciting new venture!
Led by Slate PR’s top executives Stephen Huvane, Robin Baum, Simon Halls, and Andy Gelb, the revamped edition of their long-standing company, which has gone through multiple transformations over more than three decades, is now operational with fully staffed offices in both Los Angeles and New York City.
As a film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that, following our merger, practically all of our business associates will be on board for this exciting new journey we’re embarking upon. Moreover, an overwhelming majority of the Slate crew, who have been instrumental in bringing our cinematic dreams to life, will also be joining us. This union promises to be a game-changer!
Our clientele from Slate PR extends to a star-studded list that includes Jennifer Aniston, Ryan Gosling, Zendaya, Chris Hemsworth, Ryan Murphy, Julianne Moore, Emily Blunt, Lana Del Rey, Brendan Fraser, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, George Clooney, Anya Taylor Joy, Ridley Scott, Elle and Dakota Fanning, Greg Berlanti, Tom Ford, and Dakota Johnson. Following the debut of Apex, the previous Slate executive team has appointed a fresh group of managing partners to oversee both long-term expansion and daily operations. This new board comprises experienced members from Slate PR: Guido Gotz, Lindsay Maguire, Scott Newman, Jennifer Plante, Shawn Purdy, and Megan Senior.
Thrilled to carry on our fantastic and long-standing partnership as we introduce APEX, we expressed in a joint statement on Thursday. Reminiscing on the day we first collaborated, we feel like we found a gold mine. The collective strengths of each member have always made us an exceptionally unified and victorious team. We eagerly anticipate maintaining this successful collaboration in our upcoming venture.
