Bruce Springsteen BBC Documentary Marks 50 Years Since U.K. Debut – Global Bulletin

BRITISH BREAKTHROUGH

On May’s evening schedule, BBC Two and iPlayer will broadcast a special night dedicated to Bruce Springsteen, marking the 50th anniversary of his initial U.K. concert. The highlight, “When Bruce Springsteen Arrived in Britain,” includes an unprecedented worldwide interview in which Springsteen shares memories of his 1975 Hammersmith Odeon debut. In the documentary, Springsteen candidly admits, “I suffered from PTSD after the first Hammersmith show,” as he recounts fleeing his own celebration party.

The one-hour movie, crafted by Wise Owl Films, features interviews with members of the E Street Band, specifically Stevie Van Zandt, as well as Sting, Peter Gabriel, and their manager Jon Landau. Additionally, Michael Palin, who recorded the original concert in his journal, is also included.
