Hades 2 Is Aiming For 60FPS On Switch 2

In simple terms, Supergiant Games unveiled fresh information regarding Hades 2, such as its ability to run smoothly at 60 frames per second on the forthcoming Switch 2. The game is slated for release this year exclusively on the new system, although it will also be available on the original Switch as a temporary console exclusive.

In a recent Nintendo Creator’s Voice video, studio director Amir Rao shared that the experience of creating the original [Hades] on Nintendo Switch was incredibly enlightening for them. They aimed to apply these insights when working towards the Nintendo Switch 2. This translated into an unyielding commitment to performance excellence for their games, with a strong desire to ensure they run smoothly at 60 frames per second.

He mentioned that the additional power from Switch 2 enables the studio to enhance the visual aspects of Hades 2. It received its second significant update, known as the Warsong update, last month, incorporating locations from the initial game. The PC version has been in early access for approximately a year now.

During the April 2025 Nintendo Direct presentation, Hades 2 was officially revealed for the Switch 2, but the developers haven’t provided a specific release date yet. At present, an early access version of the game is available on Steam, leaving us uncertain as to when the complete edition will be launched.
