MrBeast Sues Ex-Employee for Stealing Secrets and Spying with Hidden Cameras

YouTube sensation Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson is taking legal action against his ex-employee, Leroy Nabors, for alleged acts including theft of confidential business information, violating a contractual agreement, and illegally spying on company premises.

Originally brought on board in 2023 as a temporary IT worker, Nabors took charge of overseeing the IT infrastructure at Beast Industries, which encompassed servers storing post-production data.

Later, he shifted to a team known as “Special Projects” in the department of development, where his duties involved content creation, fundraising efforts, and political activism. Unfortunately, his tenure ended on October 1, 2024.

Based on court documents uncovered by Polygon, it is alleged that Nabors illegally obtained more than a thousand confidential files from the firm’s Google Vault. These files reportedly contained sensitive business information such as strategies, financial data, capitalization tables, financing documents, and personal employee details.

The accusation indicates that “Nabors is said to have downloaded over a thousand confidential files related to Beast, which seems to suggest that he had a premonition of his dismissal and acted in advance to safeguard these documents.

Furthermore, it was uncovered that several covert surveillance cameras were strategically placed within the office grounds.

The court case claims that Nabors was recognized by peers for secretly recording meetings, and it accuses him of setting up and running these spy equipment.

This lawsuit is another instance in the ongoing court cases concerning MrBeast. Back in 2024, his ex-employee Dawson French (also known as DogPack404) leveled allegations against him for dishonest business practices and creating an unpleasant workplace atmosphere.

DogPack publicly shared videos accusing MrBeast of altering content and acting unethically. In reaction, MrBeast’s legal team, spearheaded by attorney Alex Spiro, sent cease-and-desist notices, challenging the truthfulness of these accusations and pointing out breaches of confidentiality agreements.

Currently, neither MrBeast nor Leroy Nabors has made any public statements about the ongoing legal matter. This dispute is being handled in a North Carolina state court at present.
