Romantic Spy Comedy ‘Real, True, 100 Percent Love’ Starts Production, Mise En Scène Company Boards Project (EXCLUSIVE)

Indie rock couple Jillie Simon and Thomas Simon have started the main filming of their first full-length movie titled “Real, True, 100 Percent Love” in Bucharest, Romania. The Mise En Scène Company (MSC) has also come on board to provide production and sales consultation for this project.

The romantic-comedy-spy film, penned by and featuring actor-singer-songwriter Jillie Simon alongside co-director Thomas Simon, weaves espionage and music together in a narrative revolving around Elli DeCosta, an activist and lead vocalist. Following the enigmatic disappearance of her boyfriend, DeCosta’s personal sorrow transforms into a global escapade involving Russian agents, the CIA, and a quest to reclaim her voice when he unexpectedly reappears after several months.

The main cast includes Margarette Odette, known for “Sex/Life” and “Boogie”, Josh Cooke from “Dexter” and “Hail, Caesar!”, Nathan Sapsford of “The Golden Age”, Marc Duret who has been in “La Femme Nikita” and “Outlander”, and Jackie Hoffman, recognized for her roles in “Glass Onion” and “Garden State”. Grammy-winning artist Larry Mitchell and the European rock band Kumm will also feature in this music-focused production.

This movie is jointly produced by One Hundred Percent Love LLC and Romania’s Libra Film, with a team that works both in Bucharest and New York. The story unfolds against the backdrop of the enchanting streets of Bucharest and the vibrant music culture of Brooklyn.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that our previous works, “Hungry” and “A Chance,” garnered recognition at film festivals. We’re now embarking on the next phase of our journey, with production continuing till April. Post-production is meticulously planned to ensure a smooth festival run starting from 2026.
