Director Denis Villeneuve is aiming to bring Robert Pattinson aboard the illustrious cast of “Dune: Messiah.
According to reports from EbMaster, Denis Villeneuve is finalizing the script for the upcoming “Dune” sequel before summer filming begins, and there’s speculation that Robert Pattinson could be part of the cast alongside Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. At this point, no official offer has been extended to Pattinson, and his potential role remains unclear. Legendary Entertainment declined to comment on these rumors.
Currently, Robert Pattinson has been featured alongside Zendaya in the movie “The Drama,” produced by A24. At present, he’s busy filming Christopher Nolan’s interpretation of “The Odyssey.” Additionally, he is the lead actor in Warner Bros.’s production titled “The Batman.” A sequel to this film is scheduled for release in 2027. Represented by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment, Curtis Brown Group, and attorney Robert Offer, Pattinson continues to shine in his acting career.
It was revealed last year that production on “Dune 3” had begun, thanks to the massive success of “Dune: Part 2.” Together, the initial two movies have grossed an impressive $1.12 billion worldwide and received a total of 15 Oscar nominations, with eight wins. Both films were recognized with best picture nods.
The films “Dune” by Villeneuve have attracted high-caliber actors such as Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgard, Léa Seydoux, Charlotte Rampling, Dave Bautista, and Christopher Walken. It is anticipated that Florence Pugh and Anya Taylor-Joy will return for the third movie, which unfolds a dozen years after the events of “Part 2.” Jason Momoa has also disclosed his intention to reprise his character, Duncan Idaho, in the upcoming sequel.
