Lionsgate Promotes Rahwa Ghebre-Ab to HR Chief, Succeeding Ross Pollack

On May 1st, Lionsgate has appointed Rahwa Ghebre-Ab, an experienced employee with a decade of service, to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. She will be assuming this role from Ross Pollack who is retiring after serving as HR chief since June 2014.

Ghebre-Ab will be responsible for managing human resources worldwide in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and India. She will also be a part of the company’s top leadership and decision-making bodies, with her work being overseen by Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer.

Ghebre-Ab started working at Lionsgate in August 2014, leading their employment law group. Since then, she has taken charge of all legal matters regarding employment for each corporate acquisition and guided the studio through legal and employment issues during the establishment of offices in Toronto, Beijing, and Mumbai. Furthermore, she collaborated with Lionsgate’s HR department to manage corporate and production responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Ghebre-Ab was elevated to the role of Lionsgate’s first Chief Ethics and Legal Compliance Officer, a position that includes supervising and enhancing the Company’s data privacy, ethics, and compliance programs.
