Disney Branded TV and Nat Geo Marketing Chief Pam Levine Exits Amid Restructuring

Pam Levine, who oversees marketing for Disney Branded Television and National Geographic, is leaving her position at the company. As part of a reorganization, her duties will now fall under the marketing team led by Shannon Ryan, president of marketing for Disney Entertainment Television.

Under her leadership, Ryan was Levine’s immediate superior. Some of Levine’s standout projects included the “Percy Jackson & the Olympians” for Disney Branded Television, the “Descendants” series, as well as “Sugarcane” and “David Blaine: Do Not Attempt” under National Geographic.

Ryan communicated to the team on Friday about Levine’s departure, and shared that Levine’s previous responsibilities would be distributed among Ryan’s key associates. For instance, Erin Weir will now handle marketing for Disney Branded Television in addition to her current roles at ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney Television Studios, Franchise, Affiliate Marketing, and syndication. Similarly, Joe Ortiz will assume the role of marketing for National Geographic, on top of his current duties with Onyx Collective and Freeform. Lastly, Candice Ashton will now manage both the publicity teams for National Geographic and Disney Branded Television, in addition to her existing responsibilities for ABC Entertainment, Hulu, Disney Television Studios, Freeform, and Onyx Collective’s publicity.

At present, Aaron Goldman is currently responsible for managing the creative and operational aspects of ABC Entertainment, Disney Branded Television, Freeform, Hulu, Onyx Collective, and National Geographic.

Previously with 20th Century Fox and HBO, Levine took on the position of marketing head for Disney Branded Television and National Geographic content in June 2022, filling the vacancy left by Jayanta Jenkins who had recently departed after a brief stint in that role.

The departure of Levine and the subsequent reorganization under Ryan’s team signifies the most recent change in Disney’s television division, an area that has seen frequent changes in its management and redundancies for the past few years.
