A Working Man” is the latest film featuring action star Jason Statham, reminiscent of his previous works. In this movie, we follow the narrative of a man on a mission, much like in many of his earlier films. The story unfolds with the mission’s progression and whether he ultimately rescues the woman in distress.

In a similar vein as movies such as The Transporter, The Mechanic, and more recently The Beekeeper, the narrative features Jason Statham engaging in extensive action sequences, with minimal dialogue.

In this new storyline, a man named Levon Cade takes on the role of a construction worker. His current assignment is to locate his employer’s missing daughter, Jenny. This task leads him deep into Chicago’s criminal underbelly, where he encounters drug traffickers, sex workers exploiters, and the Russian mafia, resulting in confrontations with each group.

What happens at the end of A Working Man?

In the final scenes of “A Working Man,” Levon Cade manages to save Jenny who was imprisoned in a farmhouse, and he subsequently ensures her safe return to her loved ones.

At first glance, the criminal organization known as ‘The Brotherhood’ in Russia seems to be behind Jenny’s kidnapping. However, further investigation reveals that it was one of their members, a man named Dimi, who acted independently and is actually responsible for the abduction, as he has turned against his associates.

To earn extra income, Dimi hires a pair known as Viper and Artemis to take photographs of women in bars and clubs. These images are subsequently shared with clients who choose their preferred subject. After selection, Viper and Artemis forcibly abduct the chosen girl and transport her to the client, engaging in an illegal practice often referred to as human trafficking.

Through tormenting and slaying followers of the Brotherhood, Cade arrives at this realization, and the movie ends at a farmhouse, where a gathering is in progress, with Jenny confined in the cellar.

At his former military comrade’s residence, known as Gunny, Cade arrives and makes his way towards the house. He tosses a grenade indoors initially, followed by a destructive barrage of gunfire. This is done with relentless harshness.

After dealing with thugs on the lower floor, he moves downward, swiftly firing at a suspicious customer. Meanwhile, Levon focuses on Viper, while Jenny, bound as she is, manages to give Artemis quite a beating. Eventually, they eliminate the pair and return upstairs.

Cade persists with his spree on the ground level, employing a Bluetooth gadget to subdue an adversary. Subsequently, they depart from the farmhouse, hop onto a motorbike, and swiftly depart towards security.

How the finale sets up potential sequel

Meanwhile, a prominent figure within the Brotherhood observes their departure and contacts his group. In response, he says, “If the devil has obtained what he desires, let him have it.” However, it’s evident that this individual won’t simply look the other way, suggesting that Cade may temporarily escape their notice, but at least one member of the Brotherhood intends to pursue him.

After my exciting adventure, I return home, where my loved ones are thrilled to see me again. Meanwhile, Cade makes his way to Gunny to catch up with his little one.

During a joyful family meal, Gunny addresses Cade, “Welcome home, my brother,” implying that while the Russians may claim to be a brotherhood, Cade and Gunny share an unbreakable bond as true siblings.
