Rita Braver, a veteran journalist with over 50 years at CBS News, best recognized for her work on “CBS Sunday Morning,” announced her intent to retire from Paramount Global’s news division effective at the end of March, as stated in a memo to employees on Wednesday.
For many years at Sunday Morning, she’s handled a wide range of stories: breaking news, feature pieces, political issues, art and theater articles, profiles on notable personalities… If there was a story to tell, Rita was always eager and managed to find the time,” said Rand Morrison, the executive producer of the long-running series, in his memo.
