Praise Kier! “Severance” has been renewed for Season 3.
The news comes the day after the Season 2 finale of the Apple TV+‘s workplace thriller.
Initially, it was a lesser-known science fiction mystery that had a devoted fan base. However, during its second season, it turned out to be Apple TV+’s most-watched series of all time, as reported by the streaming service itself.
In the show produced by Dan Erickson and led by Ben Stiller in terms of direction and executive production, Adam Scott plays Mark Scout, a character who experiences a process that divides his professional life from his personal one. While Mark’s outside self mourns the death of his wife, his inside persona leads an entirely distinct lifestyle within the questionable biotech corporation Lumon Industries. However, it soon becomes apparent that Lumon and their so-called severance process are not as they appear in advertisements.
In the first season, Mark, along with his colleagues Helly, Dylan, and Irving, initiate a revolt against their company by finding a way to bring their inner selves into the real world. The second season delves into their journey as they uncover and confront unsettling revelations about themselves beyond the office walls.

The sci-fi mystery show gained a substantial fanbase within the three-year period between its debut and second season. Prior to the launch of Season 2, creator Erickson revealed to EbMaster that plans for Season 3 are well in place, and there is a predetermined ending for the series, with a rough idea of how many seasons will be produced.
In addition to Stiller and Erickson, the executive producers for this project include Nicholas Weinstock, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, Andrew Colville, Chris Black, John Cameron, Beau Willimon, Caroline Baron, Jordan Tappis, and Scott. The fifth season of this series is being produced by Red Hour Productions, Westward, and Animals & People.
Stiller shared that working on ‘Severance’ has been among the most creatively thrilling ventures he’s ever participated in. He added, with a touch of humor, that while he can’t personally recall it, they say making Season 3 will be just as enjoyable. However, any awareness of these future experiences is destined to vanish from his memory forever, much like what happened before.
Scott expressed great eagerness to resume work alongside Ben, Dan, an exceptional group of actors and crew, Apple, and the entire ‘Severance’ team,” he said. “Oh, by the way, if you happen to come across my navel button, please keep our conversation under wraps. Cheers!
The prospect of creating even more ‘Severance’ with what I consider the finest team on the planet is beyond exciting for me,” expressed Erickson. “I eagerly anticipate causing a mix of joy, worry, fear, and mischief alongside such remarkable individuals.
Matt Cherniss, who oversees programming at Apple TV+, praised the exceptional work of Ben, Dan, Adam, and the entire ‘Severance’ team, calling it an enchanting spectacle on screen. He expressed immense pride in being the platform that hosts this outstanding series and is eager for viewers to uncover what awaits them in Season 3.
