AC Shadows drama gets a parody game – and It’s absolutely insane

After a bunch of delays, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is finally dropping this week on March 20. But it’s not the only game starring Yasuke releasing that day – Yasuke Simulator, a parody taking shots at the new AC title, is launching at the same time. And the more you look at it, the more absurd it gets.

The ultimate AC Shadows satire

I haven’t seen a game stir up this much controversy in a long time, but AC Shadows is really making waves. From debates over its questionable historical accuracy and the portrayal of Yasuke himself to the fact that half the dev team is new to game development, players are going all in on whether this will be a hit or a total flop. So, naturally, someone turned this into the ultimate trolling move. And here we are.

An indie developer took the wildest complaints about AC Shadows and dialed them up to the extreme, transforming the controversy into pure comedy. And judging by the trailer, it’s going all in on the absurdity. This version of Yasuke isn’t just bending history – he’s blasting it apart with a machine gun and tearing through enemies in a car straight out of Carmageddon. And honestly, at this point, naming the studio HistoryAccurateDevelopers was the only logical choice.

Yasuke Simulator was announced in late February 2025 and has already racked up over 4,000 followers on Steam. The dev even bragged recently that the game hit 40,000+ Wishlists. There’s a demo out too, but it looks like it only peaked at 27 concurrent players.

Will it have a bigger player base than AC Shadows (which presumably has 300,000 preorders) at launch and get more positive reviews? Just a few more days till we find out.
