‘Bad Boys 3’ Directors Shooting Saudi Blockbuster ‘The Seven Dogs,’ First-Look Image Revealed

In my admiration, I’m sharing an exciting piece of news: as a filmmaker, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the brilliant minds behind “Bad Boys 3,” are currently directing the highly anticipated Saudi blockbuster titled “The Seven Dogs.” This action-packed movie features two renowned Egyptian stars, Karim Abdel-Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, and delves into a thrilling narrative revolving around the battle against a menacing new drug known as Pink Lady that’s spreading rapidly across the Middle East. I can hardly wait to see this masterpiece unfold on the big screen!

Turki Al-Sheikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia‘s General Entertainment Authority, conceived the story of the $40 million action movie, the screenplay for which is written by Mohamed El Dabbah. Sheikh has previously dabbled as a screenwriter, having penned Saudi TV series “The Eight” and supernatural thriller “Cello,” directed by “Saw” helmer Darren Lynn Bousman and starring Jeremy Irons.

Abdel-Aziz and Ezz have acted alongside each other in the hit Egyptian period film “Kira & El Gin,” one of the country’s top-earning productions.

“Seven Dogs” revolves around an Interpol officer named Khalid Al-Azzazi who apprehends Ghali Abu Dawood, a high-ranking member of a clandestine global crime syndicate known as 7 Dogs.

When, a year later, the organization resurfaces and begins trafficking Pink Lady across the Middle East, Khalid must reluctantly join forces with Ghali, the only person with intimate knowledge of the syndicate’s operations. “Their uneasy alliance propels them on a high-stakes mission across multiple global cities as they strive to dismantle the organization and prevent the drug from flooding Arab streets,” according to the provided synopsis. The inaugural film to be shot at the newly established Big Time Al-Hosn Studios in Riyadh is titled “Seven Dogs”. This studio will double as various global cities such as Mumbai and Shanghai, serving as their cinematic counterparts during production.

A late 2025 theatrical release is planned for the film, which is produced by Sela, the company owned by Saudi’s Public Investment Fund that is becoming increasingly active in sports and entertainment at large.
