PewDiePie, the well-known YouTube figure, disclosed whether he and his family plan to continue living in Japan or return to Europe as their son, Bjorn, grows up.
In 2022, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, a prominent figure on YouTube and an early pioneer in content creation, along with his wife Marzia, decided to relocate to Japan, having worked for several years to formalize this move.
In the year 2023, the pair was blessed with their firstborn, Bjorn, and since then, they’ve been sharing their joyful experiences living in Japan, along with their toddler and trio of little dogs, via vlogs for the past two years.
Now that Bjorn has turned two, the Kjellbergs find themselves facing a significant choice: Should they continue living in Japan, or return to Europe instead?

Ever since Bjorn’s birth, it appears that their minds have often felt the burden of the distance as they journeyed around the world to visit family and friends. Over the past year, this has been particularly noticeable.
PewDiePie reveals whether or not he’ll stay in Japan
During a recent video blog on March 14th, PewDiePie shared openly about his and Marzia’s dilemma regarding moving back to Europe. They have found themselves under pressure, pondering whether it was the right decision to return to their European roots.
Given that we now have Bjorn, I find myself considering what’s best for all of us,” he expressed. “Japan feels rather peculiar to me as it places us quite a distance from our loved ones. We are missing our friends who are back in our hometown.
As a gaming enthusiast deeply enamored with Japan, making a choice has been a challenging quest due to my profound affection for this land of the rising sun. However, after much contemplation and soul-searching, I’ve chosen to remain here, embracing the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes that make Japan such an extraordinary place.

Kjellberg openly acknowledged that they haven’t decided on how long they’ll stay in the country at present. However, for now, both he and Marzia are content with their existing living arrangement, despite the fact that Bjorn will need to master four distinct languages (Swedish, Italian, Japanese, and English).
He confessed his genuine joy about our decision, saying it felt incredibly freeing. It had been weighing heavily on him for quite some time. Everything just seemed to fit perfectly. This is the place where we truly belong.
As a gamer speaking here, I’ve got to admit, Japan has been nothing short of fantastic to me and my loved ones. In a sea of online chaos caused by some notorious “nuisance streamers” invading from overseas, I’ve stood firmly in support of this amazing country.
