UFL’s new PC playtest is live, and there’s still a chance to get in but it won’t be easy

Strikerz’s UFL, initially introduced as a competitor to EA Sports FC (previously FIFA), has adopted a free-to-play strategy, although it continues to offer numerous paid extras. Despite lacking major exclusive licenses such as the Premier League or Bundesliga, it compensates with well-known endorsers, including Cristiano Ronaldo, who invested in 2023. The game debuted on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in December 2024, following a PC playtest in October 2024, and it appears another test phase is underway now.

How to get access to the UFL closed PC playtest

On March 14th, a team member from the UFL game announced that another closed PC test has begun in the game’s official Discord channel. Some players have already been given access codes, but there’s a chance for more people to join if they act quickly and send a private message on Discord. There are some extra codes available for those who missed out initially.

They also added:

We request that individuals playing our test after receiving the code share their feedback and talk about the game exclusively within the Steam community forum. This serves as our primary hub for communication and assistance throughout the testing phase. Any messages concerning the PC test posted elsewhere, such as Discord, will be deleted.

It’s likely that we’ll see fresh discussions on Steam shortly, as gamers express their views about how UFL has evolved since the last beta phase. The game initially drew a blend of positive and constructive criticism, yet it demonstrated considerable potential back then.

The players found pleasure in the handbook-style defense and natural passing dynamics which demand accurate body placement. Yet, there are aspects such as ball control, scoring, visuals, audio, and general gameplay sensitivity that require refinement. Thus, it seems a PC launch might not be too distant.
