That July, while in Japan, Speed suddenly experienced a swelling in his right eye accompanied by a severe headache, events that unfolded one after the other.
As a gamer, I’d say, “I felt like someone was jabbing me with a dagger, so intense was the pain. I had to rush off to the hospital for immediate care.

IShowSpeed undergoes surgery again 2 years after Japan hospitalization
It emerged later that Speed had been battling a serious sinusitis, an issue his friend suggested might lead to permanent loss of sight for him.
Fortunately, Speed’s eye remained undamaged throughout the ordeal, and during his hospital stay, he managed to achieve a significant milestone by gaining a substantial number of subscribers on YouTube. Excited crowds of his Japanese fans congregated outside the building, voicing their support with cheers.

The event left Speed feeling quite unsettled, and the YouTube personality expressed that the discomfort was so intense, he contemplated ending his existence in an attempt to escape it.
