It has been revealed that Peter Sarsgaard will star in the Apple TV+ version of “Neuromancer,” according to exclusive information from EbMaster.
Actor Peter Sarsgaard is set to join an already announced lineup that includes Callum Turner, Briana Middleton, Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, and Cleménce Poésy in a 10-episode series adaptation of William Gibson’s novel.
As a movie enthusiast diving into the world of cyberpunk, I’d say “Neuromancer” is about me, a once-great hacker known as Case (Turner), who’s seen better days. After finding myself entangled in a complex digital conspiracy, I join forces with Molly (Middleton), a lethal assassin with striking mirrored eyes, to execute an audacious heist on a powerful corporate empire hiding secrets darker than the night.
Actor Sarsgaard will take on the character John Ashpool in an upcoming series. This role represents his return to Apple, having previously appeared in the highly-praised legal drama “Presumed Innocent.” In addition, he was nominated for an Emmy in 2022 due to his performance in the Netflix limited series “Dopesick,” which delved into America’s opioid crisis. Sarsgaard has also made appearances on shows such as “Interrogation,” “The Looming Tower,” “The Slap,” and “The Killing.” On the big screen, he is recognized for his parts in films like “Shattered Glass,” which earned him a Golden Globe nod, along with “Jarhead,” “Garden State,” “Jackie,” and “The Batman.

The series “Neuromancer” is the brainchild of co-creators Graham Roland and JD Dillard. Graham Roland will assume the role of showrunner, while JD Dillard will direct the pilot episode. Other executive producers include William Gibson, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell from Skydance Television, Anonymous Content, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, and Jason Shrier for DreamCrew Entertainment, as well as Zack Hayden. Co-production responsibilities will be shared between Skydance Television, Anonymous Content, and Apple Studios.
