Serena is here. First Descendant Season 2 launches today with 1.2.10 update

Initially, The First Descendant enjoyed a robust debut, however, its appeal waned as time passed. In August 2024, Season 1: Invasion attracted some returning players, but since then, the user base has been gradually decreasing. Despite this decline, NEXON continues to release updates, and now we have Season 2: Beyond the Void, featuring a fresh character for fans to explore.

Serena joins the fight in The First Descendant

Originally confined in the Sigma Sector, Serena now stands as a pioneer’s offspring. Her distinctive talents make her an exceptional addition to any conflict zone.

  1. Sacred Flame – She shoots flames at her target, dealing damage and applying Repentance, which works like a burn effect. If allies get hit, they actually get healed with a Blessing instead. Hitting Repentance-marked enemies with gunfire can restore ammo for your other weapons, and taking them down might spread Repentance to nearby foes.
  2. Ascension – using this skill makes Serena feel almost weightless, letting her stay in the air longer for extended aerial combat. While floating, her gun attacks get extra effects depending on the ammo she’s using.
  3. Soar – when used on the ground, this ability launches Serena into the air, dealing AoE damage on takeoff. In mid-air, it lets her dash in any direction and reloads her weapon. The longer you hold the button, the farther she goes. You can combo it with Ascension to stay airborne even longer.
  4. Redemption – on the ground, this ability clears all debuffs from Serena and nearby allies while giving them Prayer of Redemption for healing and damage reduction. In the air, it turns into Redemption’s Judgment, boosting her damage and making her attacks hit in a wide area.
  5. Divinity (passive) – while in the air, Serena receives increased attack power and accuracy, along with reduced recoil.

Beyond presenting Serena, the update for Season 2 of “The First Descendant” brings a fresh main quest that unfolds post the demise of the first Ironheart, guiding players into the Sigma Sector. Additionally, there are several seasonal happenings with unique prizes and time-bound challenges.
